Plenty of foods are not legal for health concerns. So anti-health and anti-health care mentality both govern the thought process. The right to smoke cigs at 13 should apply, or take meds that have serious side effects, or hurt himself however. There are not choices for kids and the poor. If people want to eat shit.....so be it. But to call this responsible is bullshit. Govt allows people to spend tax dollars on fast food....I do not see the logic.

Frontline did not fabricate the Regional GM for Food Lion climbing into a dumpster to reclaim rotten discarded lettuce for sale, nor did they dub in somebody else's voice saying "peel off the black leaves and we can sell it" nor did they falsify the tapioca pudding debacle where the store training manager told the Undercover to "stir it up so the old stuff is mixed in" (the "old stuff" being ROTTEN AND MOULDY!)

i worked for 3 different grocery stores, and i was variously a stocker, bagboy, deli service, maintenance and cashier.

Food Lion's misdeeds were horrifying, but only unexpected in their order of magnitude, not their classification.

relabeling old shit with new expiration dates? yep, ordered to do so frequently
turning expired meat into "gourmet selections" by adding a shake of mesquite seasoning or adobo spice? yeah, common as dirt.
using produce which should be discarded in prepackaged salads? please. that was Day One.
improper storage of "product" in a manner which guarantees spoilage, then covering the spoilage with "marinades"? shit, i could tell you horror stories.

Same logic as tobacco and alcohol, same health concerns......why are these products exempt. Or why cant kids smoke??? Just saying personal liberties in this area are eroded and its not different how? I believe in the 9th but you all are going to be paying for this and it's avoidable largely. I get lumped in with these irresponsible people, I try to warn them, and I am an asshole. So be it, at the very least I know not to stop caring.

My Dad was just saying back in his day, any drunk was shunned. Drinking was considered a low life activity. But, they all smoked.

He stopped smoking and drinking on his own, but now drunks are a common fixture but smoking is way down.

DUI is only frowned upon. Blowing smoke can get you hurt.

I like beer and tobacco and don't use them much but I want that freedom and I like that there is an age restriction
