Ice is a sure winner of frosty dankness. My second vote would be WW.
My actual first plan was to germ and grow three WW and 2 Ice,
then try and grow three of the best, at least one of each. Have been smoking WW from a buddy, god bless him, was out of meds and he gave me this, I owe him big time. So I am thinking 2 Ice and one WW, grown mainline in Hempy buckets. That would give me 2+ sq ft per plant and being able to adjust the cola to achieve the most light and productivity.

As per my post yesterday about the leaf curl/claw.

Ok, I am on my third flush and drain, on Q2. Rainwater ppm 18, pH 6.54

1st - ppm 1375 pH 6.53
2nd - ppm 876 pH 6.58
3rd - ppm 449 pH 6.67

Q2's daughter

1st ppm 1253 pH 5.98
2nd ppm 1003 pH 5.98
3rd ppm 841 pH 6.11
4th ppm 491 pH 6.36

The soil in Q2's daughters container is about a month newer than that in Q2's so it is harder to get the pH adjusted. Don't want to do another flush on Q2's daughter. I like the ppm where it is and I think the pH will be ok.

Update on leaf curl from 11/14 and the flush on 11/15.

All is well here now, will take some pictures when I take them out of the cabinet tomorrow to water. Q2 could probably use some water today but will not hurt to wait till in the morning to give them a good water/feed. Feeding will be very low ppm and very low N.

I can't believe the amount of Trichomes on this bitch. Got a feeling it is going to be a good one.

Peace out,

Hey Nugbuckets, I just stumbled across this thread a few days ago and have read about 140 pages so far and abolutely loving it!

Thanks for making this so clear for all of us :D setting up my grow soon under a 600w and i will definately be Mainlining my babes.

I just have one question, at the time you top for 4, can you use the 2 cuttings as clones? will they be big enough? because i think using leader growth would make future mainlines a lot easier and also getting 2 nice leader clones from each plant and also given the timing it could work quite well to keep my grow constant.

Also at roughly what time ( veg weeks ) would you think this was possible if at all?

Thanks man, keep up the great work.

one question
So after you have the (8 )or however many mains you choose you snip any off shoots, but leave fan leaves so that buds still form along the branches.
I am guessing the removal of the fans is the only difference with respect to the under-carriage and its being totally bald?
Anyone have info?

Big buds are a bunch of tiny buds... Remove them if you want don't if you want. You will have bud in the end
I ran my dog kush and had 8 mains outdoor, but each main sprouted like 20 suckers and so my buds were worthless and just good for hash.
I was afraid if I chopped the suckers there would only be a small top bud on each

I found kushes to be very branchy they still grew nice buds though just chopping from the ring down. I grow indoors, so maybe that's got something to do with it. not sure how you would end up with so much trash. Only advice I can give is to make some hash!

Thats what I plan to do.
I have been learning with my less favorable strains so I do the Dog hash properly.

This is something of an edge-case Bass.

I have grown breeds where the buds grew along the branch
without long side branches popping out.

I have also had colas grow out with all manner of side branches,
including some very, very long ones that seemed to be a great
deal of branch for the resulting buds.

For these two edges, the answer may be clearer, in that you
would trim the side branches* in the one case.

....but as the side branches tend toward the type that are short
and that have nice nugs on them....then I would tend to leave them alone.

* and in every case I would likely leave these side branches toward the top.

I would've replied earlier, but you gotta admit, that is gibberish :0)

I just see all these topped and mainlined plants with pure clean colas, and mine almost never do that for some reason, not even the ones from seed

Ive only done 2 difrnt kushes but they both had the same sort of sub canopy layer like 8 inches down from the tops..... I just used it to make hash
