Ok, so I've watched the part of the "never get raided" DVD with the ex dea guy where it shows how they use there heat cameras to find grow houses and what they look for.. And from what I understand, they look for a concentrated little spot of heat coming from a random up high spot.. (The exhaust from the room) But I noticed in the demonstration video they used, that outdoor lights give off the same amount of heat, ( seeing as it's the damn hid lights that are giving off the heat in the grow room anyways) would it not completely throw them off if we were to throw in a flood light right there at, or under, the exhausts exit hole of the house so when they see the heat and then the light bulb right there, they don't notice? Like as if there's an explanation for the concentrated heat coming from there.. Or is it more complex than that..? Also, how do you get rid of fleas.. These fuckers itch!

Your blower could give it away too. I've seen the video you are talking about and it's pretty low quality FLIR in the video. The stuff out these days can be high def and they won't just see a hot spot but they will see it blowing out too.

FLIR can't be used without a warrant most places now but that doesn't mean we don't have to worry about it. A suspicious cop can still use it to scope your pad he just can't use the FLIR as reason for a warrant due to it being unconstitutional. It can give him reason to snoop more and honestly if you are in that spot where a cop is wanting to use off the books FLIR, you already screwed up somewhere else...

If you are running hot lights try to diffuse the heat. Gotta get creative. I run mine to a dog box I have butted up against the house. My lights are relatively cool. I put off just enough heat to keep him warm at night.

Or you could get cooler running lights. LED lights are pricey but are one day going to be better than HID. Diode strength is getting better and better.

Unless you are running a few thousand watts of lights you have nothing to worry about, those cameras can't tell the difference between a 600w hid or a dryer (what my cop buddy tells me), worry more about the smell than the heat

About the fleas. I don't know if a fogger will harm your girls or not but I don't think I would want to smoke something that has been covered in that crap. Do you have them in your grow room? I read that if you get a pie pan, fill it with water and stick a candle in the middle, then light it at night, the fleas will be attracted to the light and die in the water but a candle in a dark cycle might be enough to stress them. You can try the trick in others rooms though. Just manually kill the fleas in your grow.

So what answer are you looking for do you know it? Then why would you ask the question? For fleas I would suggest No-Pest strips containing Dichlorvos if you are still vegging.......unless you already know this isn't what you are looking for too that is.

Yeah I heard that they ruled it unconstitutional but have you watched the news lately? Cops don't seem to give a shit about rules.. And hopefully the random cops don't have access to the good flir equipment and they're just stuck with low quality if they're gonna use it without a warrant.. Also, I have this plastic shed like thing that's kind of cheep and light weight.. Would it scatter the heat enough if I ran my exhaust into this?

First off..why the hell are you evacuating your grow to outside? Circulate air into and out that room and no more hot spot??
Especially since its winter....
Also unless your in certain areas they don't even scan with that shit..or do flyovers etc

Smell worries people..trash worries people.. bringing in grow supplies and having an elec bill twice neighbors worries people
....
Nobody is worried about heat. .....

I wasn't being smart ass about anything, I simply said it wasn't the answer I was looking for.. As in I never really asked how to get around being flir detected, but if my idea would help people tha have to worry Bout it.. I was looking for imput about my idea with the external lightbulb to give a reason for that heat.. Not really how to kill the heat coming out of the room.. And I was giving a genuine thanks, because nobody else was even bothering to reply to my post but you took the time to comment when no one else would..
