1 bulb? I don't even see a point to growing at that rate.... I thought almost got 360 watts of 120 watt CFLs but I'm glad I went HID much better light if you can keep the heat down.

Heat isnt much a prob for me, i need to get some HID soon so i can get some better results, what K is your HID? are you in flower or Veg?

You're in SoCal so you should be able to get an HID fixture for cheap on craigslist.

Ya I could get one, but I an not able to keep the heat of one down with my current setup. So I'm lookin at LED. My buddy has a 100w that he is giving me, and down the road ill get a 300w when I get my tent and ill use the 100w for veg/ clones

So I have 3 BlueDream sprouts, and I don't think I'm going to be able to handle 3 plants quite yet seeing as though I have a 3x3x2 space and I don't have enough lights. I jusmped the gun and germinated the third thinking I had 2 duds, well I was informed, after germinating the 3rd one, that blue dream is a little slow starting. Now I have 3 babies and I don't think ill be able to raise them! So, should I kill 1 or 2 and keep my favorite and give it all I have? Or should I keep all 3 and just flower early? As of now I only have 1 20w CFL, I know not enough but soon to be a 250w CFL I hope. Or at least a 68w from home depot and some 23watters. Ido, I think I'm just looking for a little input. Thanks in advance.

I once did 3, each in one gallon pots with coco in a 2x2 box with 170 total watts of cfl on a fixture I made from pvc pipe from specs I'm pretty sure I found in here somewhere. Your situation perfect? perhaps not...is it doable? yup!

Well, my situation has changed a little bit. I may be getting a 4x2x5 tent and a 100w led panel. So ill be able to handle the 3 plants. I have 2 BlueDream seedlings and now, one didn't make it, and I have a AlienOG seed in a cup with FFOF. I'll be using super thrive and big bloom through this grow. So I think things are starting to look up for me!

And on the induction lamps, they are like $50 for just under 3000 lumens. I will be looking into that once the price goes down a bit on them.

I wouldn't get induction based on lumens but PAR values instead.....cheap options would be diy ballast and bulb fitted to any hood...but those are like cfl's you will need different K range for flowering and veg......top of the line imo would be the indagro's dual spectrum...........that's what I use.....How many watts and what color is that $50 bulb your mentioned? Even a 200w cfl bulb is at least $50....and the diy I am suggesting is like 2-300$$ for ballast bulb combo like the ones i think igrow and ghetto grow use pretty sure you can get them factory direct.....but the inductions just don't burn out....ever, so they never need replacement.....

I think by "slow starting" they mean during the veg...seeds all germinate about the same. keep the third IMO and get yourself a 400w hps. they aren't expensive

Wish you were near me dude I got 4-4ft t5 fixtures and 2 thouies with movers I would loan you that are all just chilling since I got the inductions and LED's.

Shit twostroke, where do you live? On the induction bulbs, the one I saw was $50 +/- for a 40w. Cfl, I can get a 250w with reflector and mogul hippyhanger for like $80 +/- but I am going to look into induction. i really like anything but the norm. I mean, I like HPS n all, but with the heat issues I always ran into with my 400w, I like cfl, led and all the lower heat, more challenging lighting systems. So I WILL be looking into induction. And the PAR bales, I didn't even take that into consideration.

I can't acconidate the heat of a 400w HPS in my current place, but I do see what your saying.
