Hi everybody. Before we start I wanted to say thank you for all the learning material made available by all of you on here. I have a background in agronomy but certainly don't know everything and have learned a great deal on RIU, so thank you.
I was given 3 tiny clones in Jiffy plugs in September. I lost one almost immediately and had 2 survive. I feel pretty lucky to have even had 2 survive...a) because I really was lax about doing a good job with them and b) because I had never had a clone before. I took them out of the Jiffy plugs and kept them in a shot glass with tap water for what seemed like forever before I finally put them back in some soil (once they showed some nubs). That was perhaps dumb in retrospect but it all worked out. Long story short, I did eliminate the weaker one because I am really just a hobbyist and just give this away. I dont really puff anymore and me playing around with one plant is enough fun for me. I wish I could tell you what the strain is, but I cant, because I dont know either. The person gifting these to me is older and speaks of cannabis only as either good shit or bad. I suspect the genetics are just fine.
I did transplant to 4.5 gallon bucket on Oct 18[SUP]th[/SUP], I am probably around 50/50 coco/perlite, lava rocks at the bottom of the bucket. I have 170w of cfl in a 2x2 grow box. I flipped on Oct 24[SUP]th[/SUP] and flipped maybe a smidge early since I didnt know how big she would become. Since then I have snapped a few photos to document growth. The pics span from Oct 18 through present day, Nov 14. I would be lying if I didnt say I thought the growth would be a little more vigorous with the Hempy. That said, I am very happy thus far with the growth and color. The plant looks great to me with bud sites taking off more much faster than my previous grow.
