You ever recorded and produced a high quality underground hip hop album? it goes down about like he's describing. a couple people in close quarters working on something they feel good about.

just because its eminem and rick rubin doesn't mean it doenst have an underground vibe.
currently Eminem is as mainstream as can be and could not be any further from an underground artist this is undeniable.

Eminem doing a fart probably makes the news or at least the MTV music awards, underground as fuck

i like some hip hop page on fb and the admin just made a post today about how pop the new mm2 album is..

naturally, you had the, he's the greatest thing since sliced bread crowd, but for the most part, by and large, most of the people were agreeing with the admin's post..
was also getting a lot of slag for all of the female sampling in it as well..
i admit, i've never been much of an eninem fan to begin with, and only lasted under a minute in on the new album listening to hgk's link in the first post..

no real Eminem fan here I have listened to most of his stuff and I find each tracks hit or miss. I thought a few tracks from the latest album were some of his best.

my personal opinion aside he obviously makes tracks designed to be thrashed on the radio and television. that is mainstream

......fair weather fans. Find one rap artist that doesn't admit they cannot fuck with him lyrically. you can't do it.
that's some eye of the beholder shit

Seen it. don't buy it. I got mad youtube posts of interviews I could post. The Game said it in an interview. lil wayne (not a huge fan myself) said it. Dre said it. Nobody can out rhyme him, especially in a battle situation. its just known in the industry he's the best with words and word play. If the heavies in the industry say it I believe it. I'd love to hear a dis track aimed at him that he didn't return fire and burn somebody down in return. it doesn't happen. like dude in #49 video said, that's hip-hop: call out and back it up on the mic. people don't even take step one on that tip cuz they know how step 2 goes. LOL fuck, I bought encore and relapse and didn't talk shit so WTF do I know? Guess I'm just a fan (boy). but proud of it LOL

Lil Wayne, really??? He is absolute garbage, i don't care what anyone says lol! Lil Wayne, the Game and Dr. Dre are far from what i would consider lyricists, of coarse they're not on Em's level... If you really think those guys you named are some of the best i really think you need to broaden the range of hip hop you're listening beyond what MTV is pushing. Eminem is the best on the commercial rap scene but in the grand scheme of things hes defiantly not the best ever IMO.

As not buying R.A. saying he'd slaughter Eminem on a track, that's your opinion i can't argue with an opinion but i did give you exactly what you asked for. As for your opinion though, have you really heard much of R.A.'s music other than what I've posted here, enough to really make an educated judgement? Although i haven't heard Em's new album i have heard hundreds of his songs/verses and i have heard Berserk and Rap God and don't think they can touch this flow...

rap from the U.S side of the pond is not my forte but id say celph titled is the top of my list. dude is straight up bonkers.

I feel like mainstream has a place though. most people discover underground artist by first getting on mainstream artist from the same genera. its just a shame a lot of people get stuck on the mainstream and think shit like lil wayne is the best thing out without looking deeper into a scene to discover where the real shit is at

@ Huel I saw your boy R.A. The Rugged Man on Red Eye a couple mornings ago. That dude is a pretty funny cat with a head on his shoulders.

I saw a 2-3 minute clip of it on the fox news site yesterday, hoping someone gets it up on YouTube soon so I can watch the whole show.
