WOS Afghan Kush and Royal Queen Sour Diesel Grow

My name is BigL and this begins my Journal for World of seeds(WOS) Afghan Kush. To this point, ive successfully germinated the seed which i got from SSC. Its now in a red plastic Solo Cup until it shows surface and begins to grow. I also have a Royal Queen Sour Diesel clone that I got from a friend.
I just took 5 clones from the sour yesterday. 2 in water (old scool method) and 3 in rockwool under a dome. This is my first time cloning so i took a few and honestly only hoping to get two healthy clones out of the 5. My friend is flowering his sour mother plant now and the nugs are very hard and compact which i like! My sour is ready to go into 12/12 now but i just topped her so i want to give her at least about another week or so to grow out the two top flowers.
I also have two bagseed plants that are about two weeks into veg. So all together i have 3 plants, one baby, and 5 clones. Lets see what happens! Here are some pics of what i have going on. i'll be updating often...feel free to follow and give advise and comments

I read up on that strain Afghan kush..... It say it a landrace....

You should put that info up (copy and paste) people be interest in seeing a pure landrace grown especially a Kush am excited for ya :)

Post what you do hear here, what it is and what you do ?

Landrace: It means it's nearly a pure strain not mixed with any other one, one thats grown somewhere for years without coming in contact with another strain....

I am not great a explaining it look it up ....

just untangled...actually just pulled the smaller one up and she came right out...full root...very small...and planted her in her own seperate cup...calling them the gmen cheerleaders...simply because they are making a comeback...check the pics

I posted a thread about this and someone made a valid point. HE said if I leave them, the roots would tangle and they would stress for life...it made alot of sense...they came up miniature! About a third the size of a normal seedling...I'm leaving them in the tent with the other plants...no direct light on them...blue cup is so small and her stem is so skiny and frail that i believe she won't make it...staying positive though...anything can happen...if i keep at it and get two plants...that would be awesome...i say 24-48 hours in the tent should tell all...
About Landrace...you explained it perfectly...i totally understand what you mean...

On another note, Last night i started LST the sour...pulled all stems back so that everything can grow in the upwards position and create more main colas...check em out...

no way man- I'll trade you one of my healthy singles for a twin anytime haha. never seen that happen (not that i'm a seasoned veteran though) and I got a feeling it will make for a cool plant.. just my 2c but i'd grow the hell out of it..

so far the grow looks good and I';; be watching.

Whats up Bong...welcome to the thread...I seperated them in two cups and when i woke up this morning...even the baby had grown a lil bit...so they are coming up...hopefully they stay healthy and grow big for me...id def. trade you one if i knew you...i'm just that type of dude! So wait...you said you would have kept them planted together?

Dude...I googled Danny Dinero and Big Arnie and i didn't get anything...But i got you though...They are pulling through! And youd love the GMEN...People always count them out...but somehow they seem to pull through...They are a NY team...I am from NY...so obviously I will root for my home team...Other people may feel Different...especially a Patriots fan (inside joke)

Dude...I googled Danny Dinero and Big Arnie and i didn't get anything...But i got you though...They are pulling through! Kidding ha ha just that's the only USA Football I've been 2 when I was a kid in San Diego they was playing The red skins .. Don't no who won you guys are mad ... You cheer more for defence than scoring a Goal (Touch up;)) and all the fans sit together (well did) ... Only good thing is you can get beer :)

LOL...Beer is universal...at least we agree on that much!

I am using a 36x36x72 tent for my grow. I had a 3 foot grow box that I sold yesterday. The kid i sold it to gave me some seeds he had just purchased from a seed bank. He gave me super skunk and NYPD. NYPD was my first grow. Nirvana's version of Sour Diesel. That plant reeked so bad...After curing, it had a haze taste. Great smoke...glad i got that seed again. I'm going to Clone the hell out of it and keep it going. Beautiful looking and tasting plant. And i have heard so much about skunk...cant wait to grow that too. But after the Afghan, i'm going to start up White widow or the black jack. By the looks of things, this Afghan is going to be in veg for about 2 months! Thats ok though...because next week the Sour is going into flowering...my friend is already growing it and its almost ready for harvest! Buds are dense!

ME too...Veg is the worst part of growing...im dying to put them into 12/12...AS soon as i get an air cooled hood i'll throw them into flowering...I'm using CFL's to veg...but i have a HTG 400w hps for flowering but its a regular cheap hood...I need the air cooled glass hood so i can get lower temps in the tent...if i keep the tent closed...i get temps over 100...if i keep it open, i get it at about 95...which is still bad...the air cooled hood will help out with that and allow me to put the plants closer to the light. i'm watching a hood on ebay now...about 2 hours left and its pretty cheap...so i'm hoping to win that today and get it by mid next week...then its on!

You are right dude...I should have...I would have to do major LST if i did! Spacing would be crazy hard to control once it got big...
Now that you mentioned that...it would be cool to germ 2 seeds...when they come up to surface, dig one up and plant it next to the other one in the same pot! That calls for an experiment...it they both grow...and the right LST is done...that would maybe win a cannibus cup! One of the best LST guys i've seen on RIU is Letitgrow77 This guy gets nasty with it...I did two grows along with two of his grows in the same thread...he showed me the way...He hasnt been around but his threads are still active...check him out!

That's a bummer about your temps n the tent, would of been good to veg then out under that as well get a lot faster growth ...

Yes mate, I think so ......

My mate been vegin for two days longer than me under Hps and I've only been using Cfls and his is near double the size....
