here, let me rephrase for you to satisfy your question.

why did all the red states decide to let the federal government handle the exchanges for the red states?

this means the same thing as:

why did all the red states decide to let the federal government handle their exchanges?
Using exchanges (plural) infers that the state has an exchange.

Try this: why did all the red states decide to let the federal government handle their healthcare in the federal government exchange.

if you had judged romneycare a failure by its initial rollout, your face would have lots of egg on it by now.
You think Romneycare is an example of a successful model?

Obama Using Romneycare to Give Failed Health Law Rollout a Boost

Even with the targeting, the law has not affected costs, he said. According to the think tank data, the cost of an emergency room visit actually increased by 35.6 percent from 2006 to 2010 and premiums are still the highest in the nation.

“The Massachusetts reform hasn’t had any meaningful impact on cost,” Archambault said. “I’m not alone in saying that. The Democratic governor and Democratic legislature have revisited this every two years to address costs. It hasn’t done a great job at containing costs.”

i think you mean "implies", but once the law was passed, every state was to have an exchange.

the red states decided the feds should do it rather than do it on their own state level.

no, private doctors and insurance companies are still handling the health care.

the fed gov is only in charge of their exchanges, at the insistence of the red states.

If government wasn't in charge of our healthcare, why didn't they name it the Affordable Exchange Act?

You sourced Wikipedia. I guess that's a white flag.
wikipedia only compiles the data.

the state of massachusetts (sp?) and others provided the citations.

yeah, you definitely meant imply.

my words can not infer anything, they can only imply something. you can infer something from what i say, but what i say can not infer anything.

The best way to remember the difference between these two words is to think in terms of the model used by communications theorists. Communication consists of a message, a sender, and a receiver. The sender can imply, but the receiver can only infer. The error that usually occurs is that the word infer is mistakenly used for imply.

WRONG: Are you inferring that I am a fool?

RIGHT: Are you implying that I am a fool?

I yield.
I roll.
I submit.
Once upon a time I was within 3k posts of gunning you down in a hypersonic tailchase, Mach front wrapped acutely around an incandescent nosecone, with afterburners trailing ghostly parabolae of shock-diamondy plasma.

But now you have pulled over the horizon. And my compressor temps are in the red zone. And unlike Clint, I don't have a sub under the icecap with a refueling hose.

Who's holding the highest post count at the moment? 4+ months here (I'm averaging about 200 posts a month), and I haven't seen anyone with more (posts) than you so far, Buck.

Sorry. There wasn't anything to read in the shitter, so....

I am curious.... Does posting a lot make you right a lot? Or just opinionated? Does that mean since I have only posted 200 times that I have nothing to offer?

This is a strange thread... I have read about 20 pages and, well... It does not even seem to have a topic...

thoughts?
