supercropping

you pinch tight a branch . example 2 to 4 inches from the top of each branch . so pinch a branch as soon as you feel a tiny pop. that's it. what its does. it tells the plant that its injured. and it sends more energy to the site you pinched. now if you don't trim off the lower pop corn bud sites don't bother . you get more yield from the top bud sites. slightly more yield. I do It as soon as the plant goes into flower. same day. it really depends on your setup if you have the best of the best. you may not notice a difference at all . do one plant and mark it and compare. it does stress the plant. but never seen any issues from it . suggest only do one plant or 1 branch and mark it.

for got to mention . a lot of skilled growers do not super crop . my opinion it works best when the lighting is not so great like a cfl grow.

I totally disagree as most experienced growers will supercrop just because it works in so many different way's example: height control and bud site development.
@op here is a good writeup.

Mmmm i supercropped my very first female i ever had, and was using not a whole lot of cfls, she turned into quit a monster in my opinion :D, i'll try to find a picture of her. And for the op, Super cropping is basically topping, without actually removing the top. It makes the nodes under where you super cropped a branch to grow into your new main colas, then when the branch that was actually super cropped is done healing, it will continue growing like a normal cola :D.

ooo there she is, first real grow i ever done, you can kinda see where i super cropped em there at the bottom, where the 2 branches are bent, i think i topped her like 3 times aswell o.o... I think i topped her once, super cropped the 2 new branches, then when they grew out i topped those lol i don't even know

^^^^^^^^^^^Supercropping is called High Stress Training. So yes that the whole point of supercropping is to put the plant in stress so the plants defence mechanism kicks in. Defoliation does the same thing but alot of people won't cut their plants.

Myself I don't like to cut plants either but I know the results from defoliation and supercropping and I will continue to do so as the results are very significant.
