over watering

Looks like i overwatered my plants. I have 2 plants and both are 6-5 weeks into flowering. I placed open bottle filled with water to contain some humidity in my growing room. Also the containers are a bit small for plants so I was scarry of the root rot all the time especially now but everything looked fine till now. What should i do next to not kill my plants ? Not water them for couple of days? Looking for suggestions

Root rot is actually less likely to happen to a plant that is root bound because water is less likely to be retained.

pics?
medium?

what leads you to believe they are overwatered?

yes, if your problem is overwatering.... Then the solution is to NOT water them.

additionally to increase transpiration from the plant ( to dry out the plant and thus the soil faster ) increase air circulation and drop the humidity some.

TAKE WHAT I SAY WITH A GRAIN OF SALT.

Let's see. You've over-watered and you're asking for advice.

You could do 1 of 2 things.

1. Stop watering as much, and water properly by sticking your finger in the soil at least 2 inches down and feeling the soil moisture levels then accordingly water if it feels dry, else leave it and wait.
2. Continue overwatering.

add some drainage then its impossible to over water them . mine you could dump 5 gallons of water into a 1 gallon pot it will just run right through them and dry out very fast. I like to water the fuck out of them so I know none of the roots will dry up. for plants that are on steroids they need a lot of water. perlite rocks

I do use perlite ;] also there are some holes in my bucket so i was never worried about overwatering. I watered twice with 3/4:1 amount of water to flush nutes, salts and etc. but it seems something went wrong

It's really hard to overwater mature plants, usual a problem that happens to clones/seedlings, youd have to have a really weak root system and be waterig a stupid amount in soil that retains moisture really well...put up some pics

I've noticed that a lot of pots need extra holes put in them for adequate drainage.

Don't finger bang your soil bro...best way is lift the pot when it's dry, and when it's fully saturated with water...go by weight

It's not possible to overwater a container. The problem is the soil doesn't have enough drainage. Use more perlite on your next batch and should be all good.
