I've come across a MH bulb in my stuff, Hamilton MH 175W 10000k Bulb. Would this have too high of a kelvin rating for veggin some bag seed? I have a 400W 6500k (blue as a hell) MH bulb as well but I was thinking about running with the 175W 10000k bulb for the first few weeks. Any thoughts/help appreciated.

Any kind of HID bulb should work just fine for either stage of growth, in terms of growing the plant. As long as there is light which is able to be used by the plant for photosynthesis, it will grow. You'll notice different growth patterns depending on the type of light.

Your 10,000 Kelvin bulbs are more for fish tank plants, and corals.
Don't get me wrong you can use it.
IMO- I would use it as supplemental Lighting. Using your 400w also.
"The More Light The Better" as long as your in control of temps :)

Good Luck on Your Grow
