But the majority are franchised, so if you mandate all restaurants, only the corporate restaurants will remain.
To be honest, this is a classic example of how too much government intervention in business leads to crony capitalism.

Be careful what you ask for!
Or an example how the government needs to clean up their carelessness.

or how not enough can lead to bad things.

So are you advocating that tax payers should foot the bill for this woman's kids?
I'm saying that there are others just like her but have a T.V. show that pays the bills, and then use that fame to lobby against abortion and contraceptives clinics that could have helped the woman in the video you put up not have those children if she so chose, but the duggars and the people they advocate for would rather take that choice away and put the burden of 15 children on the rest of the tax payers.

So you're saying the woman had no choice but to have the 15 kids she couldn't afford in the first place because some conservatives practice their first amendment rights?

Ok, so that would make Hazy's comment to you also on topic. So why did you question it?
I know you try to help out the progs on this board as much as you can but just declaring someone is right does not help anyone.
We are talking about the government mandating a doubling of the minimum wage and it's potential effects on businesses that rely on minimum wage labor.

Posting a link about Ponzi schemes and Enron are so off topic it's ridiculous.
Enron's demise was not for the lack of government regulations, it was caused by greed and deception, something government cannot regulate.
Government laws and regulations are set forth as a deterrent and a means to punishment, a testament to why many Enron executives went to prison, but that is another topic for another thread.

Everyone seems to forget you don't get pregnant by accident.

your an idiot, so the millions upon millions of people living in poverty shouldn't be able to reproduce? Where would you get your next generation of slaves to exploit? damn sounds like you would like to move some laws to the way of china.. one child per couple or in your vision, no child unless you pass a pre screen interview from a panel.
If you can't afford 'em, don't expect the government and taxpayers to support them for you. You are correct, I am not a Socialist.

Another Strawman argument. Do you have anything else but fallacy?

do you think I am? I would consider myself more of a nationalist. I would like my hard work to be re invested into the nation as a whole, school's, roads, hospitals and clinics, job training centers..... instead of it lining the pockets of a select few just to be funneled out of the country to be invested somewhere else.

I'm actually going to agree with green and drama on this one. People need to make common sense decisions and if they refuse to do so or are incapable of doing so, should not EXPECT the government to be their safety net. A woman that has 15 kids, 10 with a man who was sent to jail should not expect the government to support her and all her children. That is just ridiculous.

If individuals in poverty are having a hard time making ends meet for themselves and then make the decision to bring another child into this world with no means of supporting them, and expect the government to do so, I think is borderline child abuse.

And no, I'm not being sarcastic.

Our hard work is doing many things besides "lining the pockets..........", none of which I agree with. The fact remains, if you can't afford to support a child 100% without government assistance, you shouldn't be breeding. No amount of rhetoric will ever change my mind on that.

so you expect these people in poverty to " not have sex" they have no money to do anything else, what are they supposed to do sit there and twiddle their thumbs? Are they supposed to afford contraceptives, and if they are able to afford contraceptives, are those 100% fail safe, sister in law got pregnant while on the pill and wearing a condom. friend got pregnant after her old man got his tubes tied, what do you say to them? How would you stop this problem, are you gonna be the sex police?
