I have a 400 watt dimmable digital ballast my grow tent is 30"x19"x36" and I have a 4 inch inline fan. Anyone have advice ?1386376786615.jpg

hey jall

you seem to be on the right track as the tent and lights are looking good...but your pic is not showing us much, and not sure what kind of advise you are looking for?

so my suggestion is give us a close up of that plant and provide a few details about your grow, then hopefully we can provide you with some decent feedback

You're on track. The little one looks happy. With that size of light you'll need good ventilation. Try to aim for temps under 80 if possible. Also, the way you have the filter set up..... I'm assuming you are drawing air from the hood and forcing through the filter? If so, it will work, but would it be more efficient if you draw the unfiltered air through the filter.... IMO anyways. After a few weeks in bloom you'll know if your filter will keep up with the odor.

I cant find a way to get the filter inside the tent or else that is how I would have set it up. :/ even if the filter doesn't work all that great with controlling smell I do have a Medical Marijuana card in the state of Rhode Island, so stealth isn't really my biggest concern.

but I opened the tent a bit more so the temp is around 81 now while I have my window open. Ambient temps in the house is around 72

That's better for temps, 81 ok for lights on, 72 is good for lights off.
Are you using the one fan for exhaust or what?
Expect to maybe experience slower growth than you see in other people's pics starting in smaller containers, as your plant will try and build more roots first.

Yeah, the fan is being used for exhaust. I also planned on going to the store and getting a bigger pot. I was wondering if that was my growth issue. She's been in veg for about 3 weeks.

I used CFL for about 10 days then put them under a 600 HPS and they responded very well and had no issues.

I have heard of people mixing in a few 6500k CFL's for the extra spectrum that the HPS lacks.

Most says the MH is better for veg, and it likely is, but the 600 watt MH bulb is not cheap, so not sure if it's worth the cost.

Yeah mine are under a cmh right now. I'll go out and get some new stuff today! ISK did you say you vegged under HPS?
