If you put it all into a crushed milk jug (gallon) it will expand before bursting so that it suddenly fills the area. That is actually dangerous though because the fumes from the heater are flammable.

In infantry companies we have mortar teams with 60mm m224 mortar cannons. The rounds have these charges at the bottom and depending on range they would remove some. Even the smoke rounds had em.they never kept track of those so the charlies were always breaking them open and fucking with the powder inside. I guess it was just gun powder but they liked to make a line of it on the ground to use as a slow burning fuse.
Afghanistan got pretty boring.
