Having some serious plant trouble here! Please help!

For those of you with vast experience. I'm a newbie, this is my 3rd grow. Its not going as well. The upper leaves seem thin, and are curling upwards at the edges, the lower leaves are turning brown and brittle.

some of the mistakes I made were, not using ph balanced water to begin with. Also, low humidity level, around 34 percent. I've been spraying to compensate.

The guy at the grow store things it could be a fungus. Any thoughts????

Thanks very much, in advance!

could it be a deficiency caused by faulty ph balance??? I initially didn't check the PH, NOW I do,
how can I fix the problem?? The temps are relatively normal, around 25 degress celcius? ITs a 200 watt CFL- maybe I have it too close? But I thought it should be about an inch or two away from the plant...

Thanks Popcorn,
any advice really helps...

Cfl's put out little to no heat. So get that bulb as close to the plant as possible. The PH problem is most likely the cause(causing lockout). Flush the plant real good with PH'd water. Start giving it nutes at 1/4 strength.

hey man,
the soil should act as a buffer. i know some soil growers dont even check PH levels.
and it's definitely not the heat stress from the CFL. as long as it doesnt touch the leaves, you shouldnt have any problems.
looks more like a deficiency.

how old is the plant? have you started feeding? why the hell are you pouring water over it?

What is your soil and what are you feeding it? The only thing I can know for sure is that your humidity is not an issue, it is not a fungus, and your grow store guy is an idiot.

Wo thanks!
The plant is young, about 3 weeks or a little more. Maybe I over-watered? Should I just spray water? Yes, I fed her some Root nutes, in spanish thats Raiz.
That was recommended for the first couple of weeks or more. The soil is really good, actually.

If I were to flush it with PH'd water, couldn't that overwhelm the roots?

I thought I had responded to this. If you flush the plants will wilt But give it a couple of hrs and they will respond. Remember to flush with ph'd water then give food at a 1/4 strength.

right, I look into flushing it with PH'd water, then some food, at 1-4th strength...
Thanks!!!

Po Boy -The grower posted that it is only 3 weeks old and already been fed multiple times. It isn't starving for anything. It has been way over fed. How often do you see leaves burn up on under fed plants? Once over fed nutrient lock out follows.

Everything that plant needed for the first month of its life was readily available in the fresh dirt.

So you just fed her root enhancer? No nutrients?

I have no experience with soil, but from my experience: Nute burn is seen on the top leaves, defiiencies start at the bottom. Yours look like nutrient deficiency to me.

stop spraying then and water the soil not the plant and after the flush you should be good to go. And when you do water them make sure the water is room temp.

Ekspain, is there a N-P-K label on your Roots product? I grow in dirt and this does NOT look like underfeeding at all to me. Plants this young grown in fresh dirt just don't need much at all to thrive.

well looks like no one can agree on what this is.

I would listen to soil growers though, they would have more experience with this

Bugeye, thanks for the input. I didn't feed That much, and only recently. Just, very very little root nutes. Almost nothing. This last feed, a bit more. But, again, very little
