Hi guys, I'm wanting to buy a new led light shortly, at the moment I have a 90watt ufo led and it's doing the job but I'm only a week into flower with it. (scrog)
My grow space is only 1.5ft by 2.1 ft but this might get bigger in the future.
I want to buy a better led that will give better yield and quality.
What brands and type out there are the best?

Ps. Can't use my HPS at the moment as it's summer but during winter I think I will be able to.

I've been growing with LED's for over 3 years now and have used multiple brands of lights.
I would recommend Area 51 LED grow lights, I own one, and they are the best around.
Their XGS-190 model would absolutely rock a grow area the size of yours, but it can also cover an area as large as 3x3.
So it would work for your situation now and if you should expand your garden at some point in the future.

Here's what I was able to do with mine and some Cheeseberry seeds.

Hi, nice looking bud there from that led!
I've been looking at them and they seem really good, would like to get some more opinions too.
What does that led light equal to in HPS roughly?

Thank you for the compliment, sir.
Don't think about comparing LED to HPS, it just doesn't work that way.
Each companies lights are different depending on the quality of LED's and spectrums they use.
The other LED light I would recommend for your space would be the Hans Panel.
It can flower a 2x2 area, so it covers you for now, but it doesn't really leave you the option to expand your space in the future.

Okay will have at those.
I should have worded it more like "how does the finish product compare to a HPS grow. I'm still finishing my 90watt led grow with 2x 24 cfls also.
Any other suggestions as well as the above question?

you got good advice already, listen to them Ppl. A-51 and hans panels is the "Mercedes" of the LED grow lights so if your in the US go for them if your in EU look in to Fero or LED light zone both use quality parts and both give good service (got my two panels from them)

My buds finish up just as dense as they would under any HPS.

I've flowered Outdoors, with CFL, T5, HPS, cheap ebay LED's, and good quality LED's.
For my money, and health, a good quality LED wins hands down.

+1

If I should put it real simple, I would say my LEDs grow as dense and more potent Bud`s then my 600W HPS did, but maybe around 20% smaller, how ever I still harvest about the same if not more under 470W of LEDs then I did under my 600W HPS and have much better temperatures and IMO a more stealthy/safe grow

Awesome, that's great to hear.
I will be buying a quality led very shortly, probably just after new years.
Should I make a separate veg closet and use my 90w led for veg or just use that and my new led in the same room.
Remember the closet is only 1.5 by 2.1 ft.
The dresser I can use will be 1.5 by maybe 3 or 3 . 5ft.
Basically one plant at a time,? Unless there's another way.

well up to you and your situation and the room you have to work with and how much smoke you need (remember once you have jar`s full you WILL smoke more then usually ;))

I chooses the route with a Veg room to cut of 1/2 the time between harvest, works for me, so fare I just use a T5 fluorescent fixture in there as its plenty for Veg but I would like to swap them with LEDs as well as I did with the old HPS, but you know money don't grow on tree`s and it works fine for me, have 4 plants or a handful of clones under the 4" T5HO fixture with 4 bulb`s (200ish watt) wile I flower under 470 true watt of LEDs, so only like 70W more then with the HPS and I harvest twice as much/often with next to no heat/heat print

Ooh yea and Bc. of that I got Fero to customize my panel for bloom with a majority of red/white LEDs and less blue and other fixture have a veg/bloom setting, as a rule of thump a veg plant only need 1/3 of the light as a plant in bloom to thrive

Yes that's what I thought.
I like the idea of shorter harvests but I honestly don't smoke that much, I'm addicted to growing though Haha.

if your in the US and have the money to spend, go for the Area-51, they just got a new one out with 3500K 5W cree chips that look sweet and your 110% that the service/product is in top, free shipping, good warranty and once you got a light from them they trow out some good deals on upgrades as fare as I understand
