Many Republicans reportedly plan to make criticism of the ACA a centerpiece of their midterm election campaigns, and the approach shows promise. 2014 election preferences have tightened essentially to a dead heat, with 47 percent of registered voters now supporting the Democratic candidate in their congressional district vs. 45 percent for the Republican.
But if it is working then what will the Republicans have?
how to defeat a republican on any issue whatsoever: ask them what their alternative is.
a silence will follow as they will be unable to talk about how they hate that uppity obama fellow who is ruining america.
"What is your alternative to socialism and a slow march to communism?"
"Capitalism"
what we already do?
OK.
keep fighting the cold war, ya old shit. i'm sure someone somewhere appreciates it.
Guess who lost the cold war... the commies. Maybe your new communism will be better this time?
i'm sure someone somewhere appreciates it.
For Haggard to be a hypocrite, he would have had to...
1) Eloped with a man to a state where gay marriage is legal and became married to said gay man in a ceremony he kept secret.
2) Told everyone that he was a perfect being and had never committed a sin.
3) Tried to adopt a child with a gay co-adoptor (I know that isnt a word, but I bush'd it). Also, he could have tried to assist a gay couple adopt a child.
If you produce evidence he did any of this, I will join in with you in denouncing him as a hypocrite. Until then, he is just another human being that fell short of the glory of God.
what we already do?
OK.

I'm not an economist but I would say our model now is cronyism more than capitalism. Corporate welfare =/= free market economy.
We subsidize the energy market, the food market, the banking market, the auto sector (unionized portion), the housing market, the stock market, the defense sector etc.
My suggestion would be to stop doing that. Unfortunately, these polysci/lawyers that seek power over others can't help themselves, they know more than we do. We've also become so partisan we ignore the stupid shit our team does and focus on piddly shit the other team does (or make up shit, doesn't really matter, it's the other team).
When over 40% of the population relies on government for their paycheck, I don't think we qualify anymore as a truly capitalist society. This is double the amount B.R. (before Reagan).
yet you would complain like a little girl if milk went up to $8 a gallon.
If 8 bucks reflected the true cost I wouldn't complain at all.
ACA is wholly owned by the Dems. If it fails, there will be many tears by apologetic Dems as they are shown the door back to the private sector. If ACA succeeds, it will be a major success for the Dems and I expect quite a few Republicans will be shown the door.
THAT'S FUNNY CONSIDERING HOW LOUDLY YOU RIGHT WINGERS COMPLAIN WHENEVER ANY PRICE GOES UP UNDER OBAMA FOR ANY REASON.
YOU'LL HAVE TO EXCUSE ME FOR NOT BELIEVING YOU AND ENJOYING A HEARTY AUGH AT YOUR EXPENSE.
MY ERECTION HAS BEEN RESTORED.
a
By the silence on the ACA lately by the right
That might be a good thing. You going to claim the same thing when it is popular or will you start reciting the fact it was a Republican Idea?
when it is popular? don't hold your breath - 51% of Americans DISAPPROVE according to gallup
