Today just turned lights on at noon went down opened doors and wham i see all my 4 in hydro covered in droplets of water wtf i do not mist them and theese aint been misted its like solid drops of water all over them if u need pics i can get some i just dont understand why all theese drops of water are from any help in this would be very apreciated also should i run dehumidifier on night as my friend said not too cause it steals the water out the res but my humidity is at 76 when opened door this noon please help and thanks buds

the 2 in soil humidity is 75 and no droplets of water but im scared to put my dehumidifier down there now after he said that about it sucking up my res lol but i know 75 needs halfing for flowering i think 50 and under is good
You got condensation from high humidity. You should ventilate more or perhaps air conditioning or a dehumidifier. First Post!!!

If you start with a Clean dehumidifier you can use the water to feed your plants.

It should be close to zero PPM and it has no chlorine or Flouride!
I wonder if you would pick up any metal from the coils? My dehumidifier's coils look kinda like wet dust.

i also run NFT, very little moisture evaporates from the tanks, i can run them with lids and without i see no difference
the moisture comes from the transpiration of the plants they drink a fair bit depending on size
i run my room at 80f upto 85f humidity 30-50

if you run the plants at 70-75 they will drink less and grow slower :)
70-75 degrees or relative humidity? I'm thinking both, but not sure what you meant.

well today is a bit better However i have had an idea would this work, Instead of having my cellar split in 3 rooms 2 for grow and 1 for housework im thinking can i not have 1 big open plan room as i think it would be easier to control as not much circulation in little rooms, 2 of my plants are in soil and are nearly 2 and half to 3 foot tall the other 4 are hydro and are only 1 and half to 2 feet tall so could i have them all together this way i would be able to worry about 1 room instead of 2 rooms, also do i have to cover up all the little red lights on my plugs and like on my electric meter do i need to cover this with black tape too basically any light at all as long as i cover will i be ok as at minute im trying to fix 2 rooms where if i had all in 1 big room that would mean i could combine all the fans and stuff and just have 1 area to cool i am also getting another dehumidifier as to have 2 running its the only thing i can think of also got 2 carbon filters running with extractors going out thanks guys

got rock salt and chicken wire on order diy dehumidifier too if it works

Cool will see about getting heat up a bit more even if i have to put a spare 600 in there with only 4 plants, I have put my dehumidifier in 1 corner of room and have oscilating fan on low in other corner and got my carbon filter extracting air too so i will hopefully have good news to report in the am if not, I have been reading about rock salt and making some home made dehumidifier lol but hopefully the ideas you guys have given should save my bacon thanks

skunkd0c may i ask u bud do u have your pump on all the time even in the dark or do u have it on a timer m8

i run the pumps continuously, but if you wish you can put them on a timer, i did not find any advantage doing this
also i find turning the small submersible pumps on and off all the time there is more chance the pump will fail when it is off
this is mostly in hardwater areas where the pump at some point will get stuck from limescale

if you're in a hardwater area check the pumps daily, and use spreader-mat the plants can survive happily for 3 days or so without a pump if spreader mat is used
as it will keep the roots moist

Degrees
big plants 1lb + can drink over 5L per day, smaller plants still reduce the rez by 1 -2 liter per day
i did wonder myself if any of this is just evaporation i have left an open tank in the room, the amount of water that
naturally evaporates is minuscule, they are definitely drinking it lol
