You could just use MG potting soil instead of the moisture control kind. The moisture control basically just dosen't dry out. A nice soil for beginers with overwatering issues.

worm casting are really cheap....10 bucks will get u a organic bag of dirt, worm castings and perlite...all can be found at walmart or whereever they have a garden section....

I didn't know they sold this at Wal-mart. I guess i'll get it going tomorrow then.

Just remember to let the soil dry out before watering again........beginner mistake i've made countless times.... Marijuana likes water just not every damn day....hahaha

The MG organic choice I used is pre-mixed with perlite. Is their a different kind out there???

for the worm castings...i mix throughout the dirt and also use as a top dressing.......

Dirt=50%
Perlite=25%
Worm Castings=25%

OK,,,,, Scratch those.....use 26w= 100w...I used 14 in flower for 3 plants....I spent alot of money on CFL's....went out and got a hps and never looked back...haha

Wonderful. I feel like maybe this can turn around. Thank you all for the help. I'm going to move all plants to MG organic w/ perlite and worm castings tomorrow. I'll give a good watering and let the hemp gods determine thier fate.
Would it be best to move before or after the night cycle?

Those are really inefficient...get at least the 2-27W bulbs...or if you can get the 42W ones...there MUCH better.

Gnats are probably the biggest turn off about MG & every single kind has them. Your light set up should be decent enough for vegging howhigh123, but when you flower you'll need at least 250 watts minimum. I'm learning about how much more light is needed for flowering right now myself.

Ok.....great! Now the perlite, readily available to the humble grower? Would 70% MG organic 20% castings and 10% perlite be ok

thats fine...I used a little more in mine because the mg is kinda heavy....so i just use that to help get spacing in the dirt and some oxygen in there... use what ever works for u...trial and error...

how big are they...I wouldnt get more until flower and get the red spectrum....for my topped plant that over 20 in now...I used 2 23w cfls w/ a reflector... vegged for 3 weeks and place in flwoer..

No problem blazin waffles! I don't know what would be the best time to move them. I don't think moving them during the light cycle would be a problem. SunnyD do you know if you can get a HPS light at Lowes or Home Depot? I'm sure you can get the bulb because I've seen it, but I want to get something I can just plug in & hang on chains ya know??
