Here is a hint. The constitution. This ain't about what Jesus said, this is about what the constitution says. The federal government is specifically constrained from promoting or restraining a religion. Some Christians believe that contraception is a sin and that is their right. Personally, I don't much care what Jesus said but I do care that we be a nation of laws and that the constitution be respected and defended. Otherwise we will be ruled willy nilly, today by the weepy leftists, tomorrow by the bible thumping rightists.

My Mexican sometimes ex sometimes not GF was absolutely livid when Francis got elected. Apparently Argentinians don't get along well with some other Hispanic groups due to a lot arrogance and some supposed superiority complex from the really high precentage of European blood they have. I dunno any of the veracity of this, but examples like the Hutus and Tutsis does give some sense of truth.

Just for any future post's I might make. I HATE EVERYONE EQUALY. I do not believe in any higher power or religion. I am not offended by anybody else's belief's,whatever work's for them is not my concern. I am not offended by someone saying merry Christmas,happy holiday's, happy honikah or any other greeting for any holiday. I most alway's vote conservative,but do not agree with many of their belief's, also agree with quite a few liberal belief's. Everything is so fucked everywhere and with everything,it's all broken and there is no fixing any of it and I believe that, that's exactly the way they want it. The sissification of this country is absolutely pathetic.Everyone has to like everyone and no one can offend anybody,someone bullying you? hurry,go tell, what someone is thinking!?, call the law! I believe that it is still my right to not like anybody or any of anyone's belief's if I choose not to.

just because one of the things on offer through insurance companies happens to be birth control, no one is forcing anyone who doesn't want it nor someone to use it, who doesn't want it..

My point was that the Catholic Church is ignoring Christ in the first place in raising their man-made dogma above his teachings.
If you want to talk about the constitution, I think you need to re-read it. Freedom of religion is not freedom from government mandates. Quakers don't get to opt out of paying a portion of their tax bills because they're pacifists. Likewise, the Catholic Church doesn't get to say "Contraception is a sin!" and avoid complying with the government's healthcare mandates. The freedom to be Catholic is freedom from persecution on that basis, not freedom to follow only the laws supposedly compatible with the Catholic faith. Requiring that contraception be covered in insurance policies is not religious persecution.
