It has never been a problem. The nutes I use (h&g Hydro) are designed specifically for run to waste.

Those are Hydrofarm AT vented hoods. They are the small ones, they worked great for the two 600's.

whats your technique? i found floating the hydroton is the easiest but you need a large tub. basically i fill a tub with water and pour the hydroton in. i agitate it for a while then i leave it to settle for a bit. then i just come in with a big colander/strainer and scoop all the clean floating hydroton off the top leaving all the dirt behind. it really works very well.

I do pretty much the same, I use a small wire trash can to fish them out of the tub.great looking clones

Spent all day running around in circles. First I miscalculated the amount of hydroton I needed and had to make a run to the grow shop. Then I finally finished one side and wouldn't you know it...... MY PUMPS ARE TOO SMALL!!!!!! So with 15 minutes till closing time I ran to home depot and grabbed a couple big (500 gph) pumps. Still not enough to feed all the plants so I have decided to run three 20 gallon reservoirs instead of two 30's.

Looking good Worm. Probably a good choice on the reservoirs. I'd even be inclined to do more reservoirs with that many plants.... But I know its more work. I've never done hydro before but it seems those girls will be hitting those reservoirs pretty hard come mid flower.
