Clay Pebbles - Cleaning to reuse....?

I know that most of the forum use soil
(and don't seem to mind smoking something that has grown in dirt...?)
but I use EXPANDED CLAY PEBBLES.

According to Gregg Green's 'GROW BIBLE' it is OK to reuse Clay Pebbles, eternally, if they are cleaned after every harvest/grow.

"Just mix 10ml of Hydrogen Peroxide with 1 gallon of water and let the pebbles steep in the mixture for a few minutes, before drying them out. After a few hours they should be ready to use again."

Hydrogen Peroxide....
Isn't that the stuff that the stuff they made home made bombs from....?
I don't want to draw attention to myself as a suspected bomb maker only to have the cops discover my growers tropical paradise, the light of my life and raison d'etre for my existence!!!

If they DO take away my miniature farm I MAY start making bombs!!!!

Seriously, though, is Hydrogen Peroxide easy to buy?
Will it raise questions if I start buying it?

Lol you are referring to something usually called hydroton pebbles. Most hydro aero growers know them well. When I clean mine what I usually do is just use hot water and bleach. I clean alot at once so I usually have like a 55 gallon garbage can and Ifill it 3.4 way full of hydroton. I try screen it first to get root matter out of it. I then fill the tub with a mixeture of hotwater and a small bottle of bleach. I eye most of it. I fil til the hydroton floats a bit then pour the small bottle of bleach in. I use a small paddle I have and then stir and mix the hydroton for about 5 minutes. I let it sit anoter 10 minutes then I have a large strainer I build which I fill with hydroton then rinse very well with hot water. Thats about it. You can use peroxide fromthe store just as well its cheap enough for a small amount but bleach is fine for large amounts for costs saving and is safe.

hydrogen peroxide is easily acquired from your local druggist. it is used to clean wounds, bleach hair, and a few other uses.

it is NOT a bomb making ingredient.

it doesnt really get you that much. it is anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal, but unless your last plants had a disease it doesnt do shit.

you can also use bleach (weak solution, rinse well before use)

you can also use plain water, just rise them throughly, then let them dry in the sun

plants really arent that finicky.

Hydroton is the American brand name, I believe.
Most Brits don't know them by that name (but, then again, most Brits don't know them [sentence ends]).

And an 'Expanded Clay Bomb' (an ECB) could be the explosive equivalent of the rubber bullet....?

A totally harmless bomb for simulating terrorist attacks or causing widespread panic at public occasions....???
Hilarity would ensue when everyone realized they were still alive.

Dry used pebbles. Bust up roots (dusty) and shake/screen off all the dusty root remnants i did it outdoors in a breeze. Then rinse really well. Let soak in water with a little bleach overnite. Then rinse well to get chlorine off. Reuse. Used same rocks for over 7 years back in Missouri where going to store for new medium could get u busted.
