Sea of Seeds reputation

My one and only experience with SOS was great. Got my package in less than a week and stealth was great. It's unfortunate that things have seemingly gone downhill over the past few months. Hoping they can turn it around but I'll be using other options to get my beans for the foreseeable future.

Same, i had 2 experiences with SOS and both were great, pretty fast, moderate selection, unbeatable prices.
It really is unfortunate where the company is heading.. I'll support them when they turn it around, but I need beans in the mean time, looks like other options will be getting my $$$ til SOS picks up the hustle

Same here. I ordered back in October and fortunately the entire process went smoothly.

I've since ordered twice from marijuana-seeds.nl. Had two great experiences with them (although they've lost their credit card processing too.). I posted about my two orders here and here.

The only negative I see with them is that they don't disclose the breeder origin of their seeds. More serious growers seem to care about that. But, as a new grower, I really like their "value packs" and 2-for-1 specials. I was able to get a lot of seeds to develop my skills with. Instead of worrying about a $8 seed, I'm dealing with $3 seeds. If the finished product is good, I'll probably never care about seed pedigree. :)
 
On a good note they sent my beans out and actually it's been going smooth taking a little longer but heck there still doing business... now let's see if I get them they coming into chicago hope the stealth is better then the tudes. .
 
Has anyone recently used cash in the envelope with SOS? are they not doing so well in regards to shipping to the states?
 
My SOS experience has been as follows: order my beans mid October, a few days later my money leaves my account. I get no response to any of my initial emails for a month until I basically begged for a response. They apologise and tell me they'll look into it. Over the course of the next month I keep prompting for updates every WEEK or so, as I don't hear anything otherwise, and they say they are looking for my order, I provide names, dates, and reference numbers and they just said check with you bank, we can't find the payment. So after more than two months, I'm $200 out of pocket, and still beanless. If this problem gets sorted, I will happily admit I was wrong, but at the moment I'm pretty disappointed to say the least. I'm going to try a different bank soon so any recommendations are welcome. I hate to slag people off, and if there is a problem with the bank I understand that shit happens, but 2 months is a joke.
 
If they really charged you and cant provide a tracking # and proof call your CC company and tell them that you ordered novelty items and they never shiped and are blowing you off. They will start a claim and refund you funds. Good luck and I say check out seedsman site they are it right now. Also breeders boutique site is solid but just their gear.

Stay away from the seed depot they just had a meltdown. Attitude was always solid for me but as of late there have been some issues. Just do some research its always a risk no matter who you use honestly.

I ordered from SoS about the same time as you and seeds arrived in 8 days. But, it is troubling to read all the reports of people who can't even get a response. Since October I've ordered twice from marijuana-seeds.nl. They've been great. They lost their ability to accept credit cards about the same time SoS did. My second order was with a bank wire transfer. There were problems because the instructions had the wrong account name. m-s.nl worked with me to figure it out, and deducted the wire transfer fee from the amount of my order. They responded to every email by the next day.

I posted my experiences here and here. I think the only downside to these guys is that they don't disclose the breeder. But, stuff's growing great. Haven't harvested/smoked yet.
 
I have ordered from attitude, herbies and SOS... best one over all herbies fast and good customer service... attitude is very good but shipping sucks ass it will never make it through customs... go with herbies!!! Very stealth and fast... SOS stealth rocks just slow with no CC working and process time...
 
Currently experiencing total ignorance from SOS including the phone being put down on me. Payment cleared on day of order and no updates since... and in fact I am very pissed off with the service they have provided having taken my money and done a runner it seems via BT. Hope they prove me wrong.

Imma newb. First time grower, first time ordered. Hell.. first time posting but I've been lurking for a couple weeks now. :-P

I ordered from SoS on 12/27/2013 and asked a couple questions over the next couple days. Received the reply after a day. I got my invoice on 1/7/2014 (and was like "wtf does this mean?!" lol) and all worries went up in smoke :bigjoint: after I received my tracking number this morning at 5:30am (central-US)

I ordered some Auto #1 with the guaranteed stealth shipping and paid via bank transfer. Live in the bible-belt so I'm praying :fire: they make it.

Have not seen EM around here for a while. Sucks these issues have not been taken care of.
 
What happened? These guys used to be the bomb! How can a company just go to shit like that? Surley they where killing the profit margins? Why stop?
 
I have emailed EM 5-6 times since I posted a few back. He has never responded. Not sure what happened wwe always comunicated and I bought many times.

He gone!
 
This is too bad. I really liked SoS, but can't bring myself to use them until they get some things figured out. Maybe EM needed a break from everyone being on his ass. People constantly on his ass about stupid things.
 
Just wanted to update that I got my order on Saturday (1/18/2014).

I will probably order from them again. Wife is already complaining though lol. I may start a journal soon for the Auto #1
