actually, the congress under bush was republican for the vast majority of his presidency, and he was running up massive deficits then as well. trillions of dollars worth.

Obama came in, and the def went up, it reached it's peak, and from it's peak, he has reduced it. It's still larger than W's average deficit.
Again, no letting the truth stop you making your point.
With regard to the tea party, it was a new movement- new movements are often a bit rough around the edges. As it matures, it will become more main stream.
I am not,nor have I ever, considered myself a tea party guy.
As to my politics.
I used to be conservative, now I'm just me.

Bush was what made people that remained on the right after the 8 years appear demented. I know so many who said "enough" after all the deception, ignorance, and theft during his embarrassing administration. I could see no way past that level of incompetence and the followers just pretend it didn't happen.
