Best Grow Medium to Keep Long Term Mothers in....?

I've just ordered a 200w cfl Unit (6400k-Blue).

I have a Veg Tent and a Flower tent that use Wilma Hydro systems and Clay Pebbles.

The area I have for a Mothers and Cuttings area is only 26" x 22" (x 38" High)
and will be mostly used for new clone cuttings to root in Rockwool cubes, in a small propagator.

However, at some point, I would like to try starting some seeds and even keeping a few mother plants.

WHAT GROW MEDIUM will best suit long term mothersthat are under T5 flouro's???

WHAT NUTRIENT SCHEDULE is suitable to feed them???

What EC/pH is appropriate???

i feed half strength every watering except just before taking cuttings when i use plain water.

i can keep a plant healthy in a 3.6l pot for 6 months before i need to restart or transplant. if you use a 20+litre they wil last a year at least, but i don't like keeping a plant that long.

"...except just before taking cuttings...."

Define just before.

another thing that is good to do before taking cuts is spray the leaves with water to clean and unclog the stomata. I take my moms in the shower.
