Growing without extra nutes?

I've read so many articles about adding specific amounts of extra nutrients during this phase and adding other nutrients in this phase blah blah blah. Is it possible just to grow without having to add all of those? Just naturally? I'm growing indoors in pots and I can't really arouse to much suspicion and I don't really have much extra money to spend. I've already got good soil that drains well but retains good moisture and a good lighting setup, do I really need extra nutrients as well? I mean it's called weed for a reason, I imagine it wouldn't need to be treated like a king to grow.

good soil will give you a far crop but for a great crop you will need to add some more phosphorus and potassium when you start to flower the plant to get those huge buds you see in pictures

I "rescued" a plant that was in soil like that, I live near the ocean so all the soil is like this, sandy stuff. They do grow that's for sure, how well they grow I can't be sure of that.

And OP, my rasta friend's grow without nute's, they put it in the ground, protect it from wildlife and they get some good bud. Also they rely on mother natures cycle, so the grow time is pretty long, not sure if that makes sense. But some of the bud I have seen on RIU is amazing, a lot to be said for using nutes I reckon.

Well, where you are, and Hawaii, it should be easy to grow in the ground without nutes, but my first thought was the OP wanted to know about soil from a bag in a pot.

Apologies, I must have misread something then, I am not know for my brilliant observation skills, lol. I could even be misreading what you saying here too, I just never know for sure. ;)

I feel like I under specified now hahaha. I mean like my soil has pretty good nutrients already that I can tell, I just want to know if it's possible to grow some decent (not looking for top notch, the more organic the better, pulls a premium price around here) bud without having to go all precise with measuring cups of added nutrients in the water during different states of growth and such. And I'd like to have the peace of mind that im not smoking poisons and such

no, I understood the question I just got sidetracked. And also, the plant I pictured is in a good mix, there is just a little layer of sand on top to keep the gnats away , to clarify lol
