could a warrent be issued?

Just wanted to know that if someone were to call the police and say I was growing. Could a warrent be issued based on that alone. No sales, no suspicious activity, no actual proof, just one person saying that I grow.

Depends on where you live. I have a relative that rented a house to a guy. The guy was growing inside the house. My relative saw the grow and was pissed. She called the cops but they said they can't do anything about it b/c they had no proof. I know that sounds crazy but that's what happened. Sometimes they need physical proof. That's why cops steal garbage looking for proof so that they can get a warrant. If they find one leaf, piece of packaging related to cultivation, etc. then they have their proof.

Thanks a bunch. The situation is, I have waited years to get in the position to make my own meds. But I had a bad roomate and could not get him out the house. He was supposed to be out months before I popped these seeds and then one day I came home and his girl and her friend s are just kickin it in my house. I went apeshit on him, and he's caused many other problems for me. I will not hesitate to detroy everything, as this grow is all personal and for a friend who had child lukemia, survived and has some terrible bone disease. Anyways he's got no evidence and I cover my tracks, I didn't think there was any probable cause and he hasn't said he would say anything. I used to bitch at him on a daily basis, long before I did what I am doing now, about my house smelling like pot cause I knew he was trying to sell. Anyways I will continue to be extra careful about trash, as I have been thus far.

Most grows are popped because someone dropped a dime. That alone isnt enough for a warrant but they would check your trash, check out your power usage, look for anything that looks suspicious from the outside of your house, etc. If anything doesnt look right they can persuade a judge to sign off.

In the USA it is

Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses
, papers, and effects, against unreasonable
searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause,
supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons
or thing
s to be seized.

But I had a bad roomate
This is how I got busted. Bad, ex, roommate told cops I was growing. They pulled power, which was above average (2-3x, a $300 or so bill in fall). -Claimed- they found a stem in the trash can, and that I had my blinds closed (not blocked out windows mind you, just that I did not open the blinds during the day). That was plenty to get a warrant. Snitches word alone? no, but if they feel like it they will make up whatever they want/can (like pretending to find a stem in the trash). I should've shut down, but having known the guy since middle school, having him live with us as an incredible favor to him and only kicking him out after repeated warnings and being caught red-handed with unacceptable behavior, and having both done time I made a gamble that he wouldn't go that route. My mistake. Will not happen again.

Shut it down, give it 6 months. Better safe than sorry.

That's some risky shit. I don't sell shit its strictly for my mother but use this formula. How much will I lose being in jail for a year including work pay and expenses for a lawyer and how much will I profit in a year growing. Weigh out the pros and cons and go by your own judgment on what to do. Good Luck

It all depends on if the person making the complaint is willing to testify. If it's an anonymous call, don't sweat it. If it's an angry roommate, look out. It also depends on the amount they claim. Manpower is expensive and cops get pissed when someone "spends" a lot of money for revenge.
