I think that Jesus' point with the moneychangers in the temple was less about money and more about honesty, so ... not politicoeconomic. I don't think he was either for or against capitalism or imperialism. The trouble is ... i am not sure. It is so easy to impose one's politics upon moral figures, and I don't excuse myself. Even so ... whose exegesis to trust?
I'm pretty sure that he would be labeled if he were around today. It would be subjective.

i have to ask, i know i'm going to regret it, but what mental disorder do gays suffer from again? i missed that in biology class..

It isn't mental retardation, but since the brain is the largest sex organ, and homosexuality isn't a choice, there has to be some chemical difference in the brain, and there have been differences in physical structures noticed in the brains of homosexuals. It is only a disorder since the vast majority of folks are not gay. It doesn't speak to their mental capacity, or make them morally the same as a pedo, but the reason for the disorders are probably linked or related.

This is the thing that I protest, and not just on this topic: the tyranny of the Normal. Not normal should not be reflexively equated with wrong, lest we fall prey to the totalitarian mindset.

Well, if you come from the aspect that all species exist to further the species through procreation then being gay is a flaw.

If you look at it from a religious aspect then apparently God made people gay and told them not to be gay which makes him a pretty sick fucker...

Homosexuality exists in many species. A genetic marker has been identified and linked with the transgendered trait. The existence of this passive trait is likely residual from distant evolutionary ancestors in whom it was most certainly a boon. If the dodo bird had been so adapted, the loss of all males of this species may not have been an extinction sentence. The remaining female dodo birds could have fertilized their own eggs.

It is interesting, the subject as it relates to Darwinian thought. What advantages would homosexuality have on evolution? This is a genetic reality, not a choice.....but, why? Perhaps sexual habits were selected for at a time of great disease?

To the bolded: what if homosexuality's positive behavioral aspects enhance a group's ability to survive and procreate? Wouldn't that supersede the simplistic tab A, slot B model?

That is why its close cousin the dildo bird is still with us.

I added no additional context external to the words normal and disorder. You, and or society has placed such connotations on such words.

A disorder, to me, is an occurrence of something less likely to occur. Diabetes is a disorder of the pancreas. Diabetics aren't bad
People, something inside them simply doesn't work the way it should, much like the homosexual. If that makes any homosexuals feel bad, then get the sand out of your vag. I've had a dick in my ass, if that makes you feel any better about my saying it.

I have never said gay men are less than human, or even less than a full man.

As erectile dysfunction might be a physical sexual malformity, homosexuality is a mental sexual malformity.

The brain is very complex. Some are born with downs or other cognitive disabilities. Homosexuality is a sexual disability centered in the brain.

The only other options are choice, which is incorrect on it's face.

And environment, with almost all homosexuals argue against.

I guess there is one more assumption, and that would be that homosexuality does not exist, but we all know that to be false.

I think just letting it exist without turning it into a "less than" or "disorder" type class of people is the only fair way. The brain is so mysterious in so many ways that make us unique, don't get clinical, have respect for the struggle they face instead of adding to it.

Some very distant premammalian ancestor of man likely relied upon hermaphroditism in order to continue and therefore passed the trait on.
