Any tips for someone ordering seeds for the first time? (I live in an "illegal-state)

Doesn't make a bit of difference whether you are in a legal state or not as far as customs is concerned. If they happen to open the package and find them they will seize them regardless. As far as getting busted because of it, I've never heard of anyone getting a visit from the police because of it. I've never had one seized, but from what I've heard they just take them. If you've been using bagseed up to this point, the difference between seedbank seeds and bagseed is like the difference between steak and hamburger.

Many awesome strains have sprung from some bagseed, but otherwise I agree with that statement

Well, I've only started growing a few months ago (about 2 plant cycles ago), and I was interested in getting some new genetics. I've been researching the strains I want and the prices they go for, and now the only thing to do is place the order and wait. The only real problem I have is that I live in a state where medicinal marijuana isn't available, and I don't really know how to go about "seed purchasing". Does anybody have any advice for a first time seed-buyer?
I was over thinking it the first time and just drove to canada and bought to my hearts desire. The seed shop I go to even gives you the method to get them back over the boarder. It's pretty bad ass walking into a shop where the lady puts down a joint next to a smoking hash bong to ask if you need help. Lol It was a several day journey and seeing Niagra Falls was awesome in its self, having my dog with me made it steller.

Once crazy thoughts stop racing just pick any seed bank that accepts your payment method. It is very simple. BC Bud Depot has come through with no issues (it was less than a month ago) , I have not worked with other banks yet but have heard great things about herbies seedbank.

Over thinking indeed :) I enjoyed the irony of being too paranoid to have a seed bank that sends thousands of packages a month send you an unmarked package but......You went across the border and personally brought contraband back through U.S. customs. We stoners are an interesting lot. Merry Christmas to my flat screen friends.

Damn dude talk about dedication! Niagra Falls is pretty amazing I was there twice as a kid and would love to go back some day. Actually, if you ever decide to do that again let me know you can pick me up on the way. :)

have the company you choose. Im going to try herbies if I can call them and talk to them on the phone. tell them to put them into a envelope don't try to be stealthy. just ship them with a letter saying . your name here are some of the seeds from the oak tree from so and so you were asking about. this is an example . and who would know the difference ? if they get seized hey they were for a tree. apple tree or pear tree . so on so on.
A package with the word "seed" on it will be destroyed. You can't import ANY seed through the US Mail.

Why do people keep saying "Use a Prepaid Visa"? They don't work internationally.
Many do work internationally. I've done it before. You need to check the fine print first. When you buy one of those cards it is only a temporary. You need to fill out the paperwork that comes with it and mail it in and in a week or two you will receive a real card with your name on it just like a regular credit card. Then you can use it internationally. There are dozens of threads about this I see them just about every day.
