Danish methods, forum methods....a thousand flies on a pile of shit can't be wrong. 
Since this is a tweeks thread, here's a tweek at the other tweek thread at the Riddle3m site. Thought it was relevant. Topic being staking.....
Forgot about that trick, nice tip. I have bought cages, the heavy duty type and using bolt cutters either shaped up the top ring, removed it completely, or taken out pieces. You could remove each side of the top ring and drop your hood into the cage if you're that anal. Sure won't hurt to give the plant less light than what you think it needs, might even give you better plant health and yields. While some (mostly noobs) are bragging they give their plants 100W/s.f.....I've never gone over 38W/s.f. Now, all of that kinda talk is erroneous. Light effectiveness is relative to the type of hood, reflective properties, lamp quality and output, distance, etc.....while ignoring what the canopy actually receives. But you know cannabis forum talk, growing cannabis is a very black and white thang - all you need is a GH chart, the prescribed 11 nutes and supplements, 100W/s.f., a DWC rig and voila, ya got it made!

Another tweek to your customized cage. For outdoor cages I take heavy duty pliers and turn up the vertical wires at the bottom, fish hook shape. That way they won't pull out.

Do you grow large tomato plants?
I do.... Monsters. Built some nice raised beds and have been doing the same thing with my cages for awhile. Works good.

I finally got fed up with small cages that don't support big plants so I built my own out of a roll of 5'X50' concrete reinforcing mesh. Kind that has 6"X6" openings. Buy American made. I bought Mexican made and the welds are failing.
At home myself I go up to about 5 feet, but at work in one of our warehouses we grow them up to 15 feet easy. So I guess I'm really just wondering how tall is 2.5 ml good for?
LOL.... Yeah, I found some large cages at an old community garden they were just giving away, looks like they were custom made.

Did you give them a new home? Can't beat free, as long as it works.
Yup, I sure did. Used them last season. Middle of winter up here in the land of Lincoln, so I patiently wait for spring and planting the garden again.

Hi UB Just wanted to thank you for the link to the pine bark & gritty mix thread. Awesome read bro! No swamps in my pots ever again. Can't wait till it thaws out here in the thumb state. Too damn cold to be sifting pine bark. lol You & all the farmers down there are in my thoughts & prayers as I know the cold weather you've experienced has been devastating to some. keep it coming UB. Thanks for the kind words. Weather - nothing like the NE is experiencing! 30F was the low here this morn.

It hit 30F here yesterday and the entire neighborhood was outside. People were walking around in T-shirts washing their cars and cleaning the yard like it was spring or something. Of course, after 10 days with the highs in the single digits, it felt like spring. Starting tonight- low temp -16F and the high on Monday a balmy -7F. I love it when you walk outside and all the snot in your nose freezes instantly, such a cool feeling. Ever have the moisture on the surface of your eyes freeze? That's pretty cool, too. Ahhhhh, the joys of the north.

and the Bourbon I'm sipping on now for that matter. Wanna chuckle, I'm in the desert on the Mexican border and it was 46 degrees @ noon today...go frick'in figure.
