Hey guys,

Hope all is well. I've been wondering this for a while now and would like to get feedback from anyone who's grown/smoked some 100% Sativa strains.

What would you recommend?

Cheers

All you really do different is more light bc they like getting big if your strapped on space do not go sat and they flower longer usally and stress easier. there more of a head high, usally energetic high, also the yields can wildly. vary from strain to strain

NsK,
If you've grown Kali Mist (a mostly sativa hybrid) then you have a pretty good clue about what to expect. I like sats myself and have grown a few.

I grew out Reeferman's Burmese and was pleased by the smoke. It was manageable size wise but not great yielder. Original Thai is also a fun sative with the usual challenges.

Actually I prefer hybrids. My best sativa leaning plant was actually a
White Widow. It was an unusual sativa pheno with tall growth and a really up high but easier to grow then a 100% sativa.

I have not grown nor smoked but am very interested in the Malawi strains.
If you happen to end up growing out something like Malawi Gold, be sure and update if you could.

Word is Durban Poison is still a very high sativa. The cutting we grew (strain names change, like playing a game of telephone) was super dank and it had very sativa attributes.

Its something I prefer to buy as to grow in my own garden though. I take my Qleaner 10wks but those 12 weekers are hard to swing economically.

Rare Dankness Moonshine Haze
is also super fire, but grows very tall and sort of lanky.

Truly pure sativas in my opinion are very hard to come by these days and usually aren't worth the trouble. Light yields, low bag appeal, VERY extended flowering periods, just not worth it when the high from many sativa dominant hybrids is far better.

There's a regular poster here on RIU who grows nothing but Sats.
I cannot remember his label....?
but he knows his Sativa's.

I prefer the high from Sativa.
Less heavy, less of the overthinking shit and borderline paranoia.
Sat's are more inclined to promote the giggles and mischief.
Powerful indica's can feel like strong sedatives and put you in a chair for 6 hours - trying to build up motivation to go and make a cup of tea....
Sat's won't stop you making tea - but they may encourage you to put extra hot pepper sauce in the cup you make for your friend.

Roger that, I grew a couple outdoors last summer which is ideal if you can do it. Plenty of room, plenty of time, plenty of yield, and almost too much buzz.

Yeah- Go to Singapore to involve yourself with cannabis. They give people life for having hair and faded jeans!
Ooopps.....! my bad ...should have remembered I got fined for jaywalking there back in the 1970's ...lol OK Florida then ...but they got strange rules tho ...too!

I did grow Kali Mist out but believe it or not the day I harvested her (checked 1 day before) +75% of the trics disappeared! All became headless.. was mind blowing. So I have yet to try a true Sativa. Although 7 weeks in she made my legs turn into vibrators, fabulous result.

Yield and bag appeal don't matter to me. I don't smoke that often now, so the high is what it's about.

That's the weirdest grow story I've ever heard...maybe the trichs got overfull and exploded! Should have harvested a few days earlier.

Jack herer is my favorite mostly sativa strain. Insanely crystally and great smell. I did a grow journal of it on here over 3 years ago if you search for it. Here are some pics of my old Jack grow jack herer.jpgjacks.jpg
