Hey everybody, so after this T-shirts retailing experience I realize that without a distributor I just suck at it. I will stick to teaching and will design T-shirts only as collectible items and not available for retail in the near future (unless one of you Weed Nerds is a marketing genius)
The last T-shirts available on Ebay are on a special end of the year sale that will end january 1, those T-shirts will no longer be available in 2014. It is the end of a limited edition collection that will never be reprinted (originally only 48 of each design were printed)
Reminder Frenchy Cannoli on Ebay.
Happy New Year
you mean like because you have to do all the sending of the product and the mailing and whatnot?

From marketing to retailing, I would like to take care of the design only, the same way I will be working with JaYRz. I really need to focus on my workshop, writing a book on Hashish in 2014 as well as monthly articles.
When you had to that my commitment to Aficionado and Mendocino genetics there is no way I can put the time on the T-shirts which is a shame because I have a lot to show

focusing on your main activities is the right move.
Proof of wisdom.

Who knows maybe... only time could tell ;)

glad to know you're on a hashish book... cant wait to hear more about.

For what it worths, you got all my good thoughts and love for your dedication to share what you've learnt about the magic resin process.

Cheers Frenchy

Hi Frenchy , I picked up a couple of jars today and the guy at the shop suggested putting one of those silicone desiccant packets with the curing trichomes. This would seem to be contra indicated to me. What do you say?
BTW I think you are making a smart move to concentrate on your book and workshops etc perhaps at a later date conditions will be better for your cool artwork /clothing. Best of luck in all your endeavors Bro'

I would not be able to answer your question on desiccant packets but technically speaking your resin should be dry before pressing or close enough that the curing will take care of any water left. The longer the cure the safer it is.

I did a dry sieve and hand press and as a first timer it was very instructive. I used a simple, single screening and had very clean lightly screened trichomes and then some with a bit of plant matter which I'd handled a bit less gently.
Both stuck after I held between thumb and palm and were fun to press and rub in cellophane. I'm guessing drying is not an issue with this method but is curing the same as with water extracted?

I would say you will not have to worry about moisture during its curing.
Less than with water extract, to confirm...

Funny I pressed some dry sieving yesterday.
I used paper cook lately because I saw plastic was about to melt with my precious powder :/
I'll have to find some heat resistant plastic bag for my future extractions.
I used a bottle filled with boiling water, it was so efficient... now sure I can send my silly press tool to trash.

@ frenchy: is it possible to over press some dry sieves?

I ask it because I think I overpressed. it had lost some brightness after more pressing.
Though it's melting great with heat, I feel maybe the result is overdone.

cheers

It is the same but shorter because you do not have to deal with humidity in the resin

It is possible to "over press" but very hard to do especially with the hot water bottle. The color will get darker to get to the texture, smell and taste of a well pressed Hashish

I belive I was told you can over press, but it's hard to with the meathods we use from frenchy. Oh yea your bag won't melt if you grab the water out right before it boils like when the little bubbles just get forming on the bottom of the pan.

Hi Frenchy, I was watching the Mickey Kush video and noticed you do not clean your 73 [with the spray] into the 45 but you use a separate bucket to "clean up" the 73. Is this because you are removing mostly plant material and don't want to add it to the 45 only to have to remove it from the 45 later?

Thank you both frenchy and beuffer420,

by the way beuffer you're welcome, 2 men saying the same is only good for me :D

In fact, the trichomes were there under the sieve since a long time, between 2 and 3 months, busy curing all this time I guess.
Next time I'll find another plastic, like I said in my previous post.

Next scheduled water extraction: TGA Querkle :peace:

No prob I actually talked to frenchy about the same thing one day so that's where my input came from. I hope I didn't come off as rude either answering a question directed towards another person. My apologies to you guys if I did:) sometimes I get stoned lol

Yes it is the reason

Frenchy I was watching TC's Emerald cup video sub posted and In it while he was talking to Franco he said that he wanted to introduce you. Did you ever get to speak with those two from GHS Arjan or Franco. If so I wish I would have been present for that conversation. I know your love for the cannabis plant and hashish alike. I also know how you feel about those strain hunters taking there Fem seeds to wherever it is there going and watering down the peoples strains they have grown for generations.

I am really happy I did not have to meet the Strain Hunters, let's be political and leave it at that.
I have been a good boy and not commented on YouTube, French Diplomacy and all.
There is nothing for me to tell them but that they committed crime against humanity, not the best start to a conversation in such an event……...

It was cool to see those greenhouse guys there but they were just handing stuff out, not really friendly. They couldn't smoke up like the TGA booth, the hash was unbelievable to see.
