    Hi man, I'm testing your method of nft with the same kind of matting and I'm having the trouble of all plants wilting due to over watering (I've been watering for 30s each 6 hours (lights on and off) during a week and they don't perform well...

    Can you explain me better your water shedule? The water needs to soak the matting and not the RW or just a thin layer of water under the matting without reaching RW?

    Where I see people mess up is watering before roots start coming out of the large cubes after transplanting the plugs....

    Failing this the plants will initially show some stress as you indicated... but given enough time they will grow the type of roots needed for water.

    Whats your recommendation? Lower irrigation to 1 per day?

    hey anc you seem to be fairly knowledgeable about the diy f series builds, i was wondering if i could get some pointers and advice. im probably going to be following a build list from led gardener, but communicating with someone whos grown and built with these builds would be extremely helpful.

    sweet thanks, do you use fuses to avoid damaging equipment? also should there be any concerns with humidity if so what do you do to avoid those issues?

    No need, the HLG drivers have all kinds of protection build in, Heck I dropped one into my fish tank this week, and it just tripped the power.

    Id like to start a grow journal, but I don't have the permission it says...Doing some organic hydro with bubbled teas etc, so id like to share some knowledge and hopefully learn something too (:

    Stay out of toke and talk, and just comment and post on a few threads. There is a small period before you are authorised to post pics and do other advanced functions, just to reduce spam, and toe jam from socks.

    Was just reading an answer you placed about stainless steel and fumes that you believe come from it when used as gauze in a pipe, no fumes come off ss and for you to say the person asking " sounds like a crack head" I don't understand why you would say that and why it matters if the person is or not

    Depends how big plant you feel you can handle. If it is your first grow, I would just let it do its thing, so you have a baseline reference. Maybe pick the top off two weeks before you are going to flip.

    hey mate just a quick PM to say thankyou very much for your help :)
    the overall process of putting together a DIY QB is obviously pretty easy as it turns out -- but for electronics newbies like me (most of the population) it's daunting just getting the initial pieces of the puzzle together

    So I thank you for your patience and being generous sharing your expertise that has taken you years to learn

    Try to find eco BB. it is a fungus that kills shit that mess with your plants. apply it 3 times, 5 days apart, just before lights off. Alternatively, try to find this product. http://npk-industries.com/mighty_wash.html

    Try to get your hands on good Durban Poison, it has a different THC profile than what you are used to. It punches way above its weight.
