It depends on the size of the plant, the size of the roots and the general space you have.
4 gallon sounds like a lot for clones.

I need to see images of the plants to determine it correctly, the fact that you got them on the 5th doesn't tell me much since every plants grows differently and ever grower grows differently.
Even subtle variations can have major impact on plant growth. There are just too many variables.

I wouldn't trim any young plants.
I'm personally against trimming plants at all since it weakens them and decreases the amount of light the plant can get (fan leaves are essentially devices for capturing sunlight and turning the energy into photosynthesis).

when is a good time to switch pots to the next size, i have 4 gallon square buckets, i got them on the 5th?? they are healthy but some did have burnt leaves probably from being too close to there lights. im gonna trim some of them a little bit to get rid of the burnt tips, wake n bake

If your plants are healthy the overwatering hopefully won't stress them or harm them.
I usually just water the cube, if your plants have long roots (coming out of the cube) you should water the entire pot.

I do not know your pot size vs. your cube size however so it's a hard call.

well i screwed that up then, and that means i over watered and over nutrients i gave them 2 gallons total, 17 plants, i tried 1 gallon and nothing drained so i made another gallon with the same amount of nutrients. so should i try watering the whole pot or just the cube?? thanks for your help by the way

The easiest way to tell is to lift the cubes up with and without water in them.
That way you will have a barometer for when you have plants in.

The water should drain during a transplant but not in a regular watering procedure.
Just make sure the whole cube gets wet/moist (gravity will help).

You need to get some pH Down to control your water balance.

7.2 pH is a bit high.
I prefer around 5.6-6.0.

You should water them only when they are dry.
Overwatering is a common rookie mistake.

and what do u mean by balance in the water??

i got them on the 5th how often do u think i should water them?

i have some stick ph strips for the pool im about 7.2 with a pur filter

Pure Blend Pro Grow is a vegetative growth solution
There are different opinions on Liquid Karma.
I have not used it myself and therefore I cannot recommend it but on the other hand I have heard that it helps vitalize the plants. It's a judgement call really.

Make sure you don't water too often and remember that when you add nutes to keep the balance in the water.
Do you have a pH and/or EC meter?

i watered them wen i transplanted them and yesterday they need water so i added 10ml per gallon of each, i used to gallons

i just got some clones and was wondering if i got the right help, the guy from the store said all i need for veg is pure blend pro grow and liquid karma and i called botanicare and he said way different wat u think?
