Chronicles of Cultivation

They have really made a comeback. I've learned so much just in these few weeks about the dry amendment game. #1 Rule....SPACE! They need extra soil volume to really show and go. I won't be starting in nothing less than 1 gal. moving ahead.
i have room so everything goes into a 5 gal as soon as the dixi's are near root bound!

yeah.. I should have bought a 4" or 5" one given my grow space, but I went with a 6" one as my carbon filter and ducting was already 6".

Mother of god.....at full speed it's like a cyclone... It could probably suck up a hampster or a small cat, if it got too close to the duct, hahahah!

And it's only rated at 40w... ...I don't think I've ever turned it up more than 50% other than testing it.

It does sound a bit like a jet engine at full speed, but the airflow is just crazy.
as long as it don't draw small children, or large birds it should be ok!

I'm very grateful to be in a position to acquire these items. Security and privacy is top priority. Only from the jackers and haters. I would hate for someone to think I have more than what is there ya know? So whatever I have to do, to keep a low profile I'm in.
all ways keep a scented candle ready to light if someone hits the driveway !

Day 56

We pushing through. Satisfied with the progress thus far. I'll be looking for some redemption in my next run.

The Bloom Oasis
Day 7 flower

That transition from veg to flower is always exciting and we just ended our first week. Slow increases with the light Intensity. I'm really digging this QB96 rig, just now hit 200 watts up from 180. Trimmed up the Cap Junky and will continue to as needed. Animal Face and Chimera2 are just shining and filling in thier space appropriately. These two will be selectively plucked until week 3, then get that proper defoliation. Very happy on where we are, I think the girls are too.

get another chunk of webbing ready

This run is wrapping up, and I couldn’t be happier with the results, especially considering the circumstances. The Chimera #2 hung for 7 days and is now curing in the turkey bag. The nose on it is still developing, but it’s already has a sour buttery lemon blueberry complexity — hard to pin down, but definitely intriguing.

The Aye Eff (Animal Face) is about a week to 10 days from harvest. I’m still dialing in my end-of-flower leaching protocol. I mixed another rez of 321, but I’ll top it off with water as she finishes.

Looking good, definitely have some frost on them buds. Looking yummy lol

Looks great!

looking at some of your 'rusty leafs' im not sure if its the same thing I have...I can't seem to figure it out.

I mean, I'm not growing it for the leafs, for sure so I don't care that much, but it does concern me in my grows that the leafs get brittle and rusty looking in late flower.

Dunno if thats just natural as the plants are end of life, my humididty is maybe a bit low, that's really the only thing I can think of...
i thought it might be light burn but I'm only using a 300w LED

Yeah, it’s funky but really cool.

Almost three weeks ago, I took Chimera off automation and finished her with hand watering. Using half the water, I didn’t get enough runoff, and my EC ran up, causing a calcium lockout. Not a complete burn, but definitely a setback. I didn’t panic — just reset my watering times and adjusted from there. It was like watching a fire get put out in real time. The undamaged leaves bounced back, and the spots disappeared. A solid lesson in hydroponics.

It’s all in my hand notes, but my updates here have been slacking. Next run, I’m aiming for more consistency.

Sidenote** last week's rez was 75% nutrient solution literally 321 per gal. This week's rez is the same but I'll be topping off with water as she finishes. We should get a nice fade, versus that burnt up shht lol. We shall see.

That Chimera is some beautiful looking buds. Bag appeal is top shelf for sure.
