The plant won't be mature enough to flower until it's about a month old. Then, make the flip to 12/12 when you'd like. The longer you veg, the bigger the plant, the more bud you can get. Conversely, you can run 12/12 from seed, and the plant will start flowering as soon as it's mature enough...

It might be worth a small bag of seedling mix (very, very light in nutes). Shouldn't be more than a couple bucks, and will keep the FF ocean soil from burning your seedlings. Also, pick up a bag of perlite to cut your soil, and some dolomitic lime to add to the mix. Good luck, and happy growing!

I'm currently using T5s and CFLs with great results...but, now that I've gotten the hang of this growing thing a bit, I'm ready for more and sort of wish I'd have sunk my money into a decent HPS rather than the T5 panel. Either way, happy growing!
