It depends on your expectations of the outcome. With T5s, there is no harm in adding more light. You should also keep T5s very close to the top of your plant. Like just a few inches away. Otherwise you will end up dealing with tall and lanky branches.

You have to water/feed everyday in coco. You shouldn't let coco dry out! Your plants will be absolutely upset about growing in dry coco. Also it's better to let your pH swing between 5.8~6.
