Honestly, I have no idea at all... as I have been going through bags for the last several months, I have been keeping seeds that looked like they weren't damaged just for this experiment. Because so much of the weed you see around here is compressed as hell, finding good seeds was not an easy...

I have found that when I use the CFL for the first couple of weeks of their life, the stretching is nil and they get nice and bushy. Then after they make it through the seedling phase and into the steady growth phase, you can blast them with all of the light that you want!
