$275 DIY Rosin Plates, PID Controller, and Press

Thanks for the info. sounds like the small one would have worked just fine, although it wouldnt be much room to work in and would probably be a major pain to use,. In your video you used 3x5 plates, on what looks like a 12 to press. According to your calculations here, sounds like perhaps we...

$275 DIY Rosin Plates, PID Controller, and Press

Very interesting method. I suppose since most cannabinoids dissolve in water it couln't hurt, I mean people make hash with water. RSO can be made with water. So you've made yourself some Rick Simpson Patties. Im pretty sure that that most, but not all, water hash makers use a method that...

$275 DIY Rosin Plates, PID Controller, and Press

@Greengenes707 or anyone else. Do you think this 6 ton mini press will suffice? http://www.harborfreight.com/6-ton-a-frame-bench-shop-press-1666.html I see that this has been discussed somewhat, but nobody seems to have a solid answer, that I can see, other than that it supposed to take 2000...

Citizen version 6 available ! RIU lagging ?

I'm surprised they're that cheap digi-key. That hopefully means we will be able to get them for 40% or so less (like we have with other brands) thru other suppliers if they are able to start carrying them. But then again older model, and maybe they are trying to get rid of old stuff. The new...

Citizen version 6 available ! RIU lagging ?

Where do you get the CXM 32's? I have been looking for a good source on those. I didn't know anyone else was using them yet. Glad to see that you are!

    Nevergood's high power garden

@nevergoodenuf So I caught up on your thread, and it looks like 250 is about the sweet spot on 3618's? any idea how much it drops when u go up to 300? I asume your using the hlg-240-c2100? also, do you have a line on the b&w #458 holder for these at a good price, and what are you paying for...

    Matching Drivers and COBs

I'm talking at least 200-250w and over. Where is the sweet spot wattage wise and what drivers are good matches for 2-3 maybe 3618s on a circuit and/or separate drivers and circuits for each in order to accomplish ? I'd love to hear more about their efficiency numbers at these and other wattages...

    Matching Drivers and COBs

@CobKits and Awesome, well for that price ill certainly look into them. ill start working on a solution for those then for now, and maybe decide later, but those sound really nice for that price im just about sold! what kind of lpw are they getting at 200w or various others higher, lower...

    Matching Drivers and COBs

with the 2800a, I would be at 59v a piece at max power, well over the 53.5 they top out at. so that wont hurt the performance(waste energy), or the hurt cob for that matter? In other words am I losing some potential energy that could be used to drive the cob with a different driver match, by...

    Matching Drivers and COBs

I would love to, but the price difference is too steep for me. how cheap are you getting them by the way though, i havenent really looked hard since they were in the $70-$80 range, and 2 3618's unfortunately do not equal 4 1825's

    Matching Drivers and COBs

I am trying to decide on a driver to power 2 clu058-1825's at around 160w. I was originally looking at using the HLG-320-48A and running them in paralell, but I am now leaning towards the idea using a constant current HLG-320-C3500, which is rated for 95v with open circuit on the dimming...

Quick Query on Cree COB/Meanwell Driver Running Efficency?

I like the 10k resistor addon, but how come you use the SPDT switch? There is nothing connected to the third terminal. You can accomplish the same thing with a regular on/of, 2 terminal SPST swich, which can be gotten just about anywhere, or can be repurposed by removing from almost any old...

Quick Query on Cree COB/Meanwell Driver Running Efficency?

let me try. wire = ------ Driver_(dim+ lead) --------(switch)--------(pot)-----------(dim- lead)_Driver the whole thing would run in a circle from + to - in practice, as the + and - leads come out of the driver bound together, but my ascii art is a little primitive. if thats too hard to...

    Ttystikk's vertical goodness

Which formula are/have you been using? they seem to have a hobby formula, cucumber formula, hydroponic special, lettuce, pepper/herb, southern vegetable, tomato, strawberry, etc. I assume you are running one of those in their chem-gro line since you mention dry nutes. Also do you use them...

let us know how it turns out. I would test it myself, but I cant find my multimeter for the life of me, and I dont have time to dig through boxes right now, along with the other 10 things I need to find in said boxes :D

Quick Query on Cree COB/Meanwell Driver Running Efficency?

can you go to max power on the A version? I have heard if you turn the screw all the way up it does the same thing as opening the circuit on the B version. I have also heard the opposite. Anyone know for sure?
