I am wondering how long after topping do u notice proper growth? What happens if u top it wrong? Is the plant ruined?

Topped the plant two days ago and so far no real big growth. I hope I didn't mess it up. First time trying. Plan to switch to flower next Friday. I have only heard one thing about flowering time for razzleberry and it was 56 days. I will go based on looks and advice, pics to follow later.

Plant has white stuff starting to show on top of the leaves and some of the edges of old leaves r brown. Plant doesn't have a super fresh look to it. Just water this morning after going three days off.
