changed out the system two days ago and started at 1.31 ec. tonight it read 1.27. only thing that goes in is tap water, micro, bloom, h202 and a little advanced nutrients ph down...i'll try to get some pics before lights come on in the next day or two.

23 days into flower is peak feeding time, not exactly early in the grow imo. if you left dwc plants in pure water for 3-4 days they would be STARVING. there is no need to flush plants in the middle of a grow for salt buildup in water culture. have you ever grown in dwc?

you might take a look(and smell) at your roots also. pathogens can stop roots from taking up nutrients causing ppm climb.

meast in my experience you really do not need to flush for salt buildup in dwc. thats more of a dtw thing. just give em fresh changeouts at the corresponding strength relative to what week of flower you're in and let the good times roll.

6.2 is as high as i would let ph ride. 5.5-6.2 is a good rule of thumb. good luck!!

it really depends on the conversion rate of the meter(and strain). 1150 is incredibly high and would torch most strains i've grown if using a .5 conversion. however at .7 its right around where i peak for some varieties. [email protected]=2.3ec [email protected]=1.64ec

it sounds like you're doing perfect. i'd probably bump it up one more time. for most strains weeks 4-6 is when they're peaking out. personally after wk 6 i usually start dropping ppm about 10% per wk.

it looks like a before and after pic and the plants are starting to pale. high ph can lock out nitrogen. test your ph.

sounds like an excellent way to do it to me. i dont know if you'd even need the slices, just removing the bottom should accomplish exactly what you're trying to do.

i go off the meter, it just happens to be a 7-10 day cycle in my system. i start my nutrient solution at a high enough ec where it takes 7-10 days for the plants to deplete the strength by 1/3. example: say im in week 4 of flower. i start my system at 1.5 ec. as the water level drops i add back...

i dont let my ph get over 6.2 personally. you are going to have a hard time in water culture if you cant keep your temps below 70. do you have a ppm meter and know the conversion rate for it? this is important. i have heard good things about the ewc teas but i have never had any need to try them...

in order to even begin to solve this you must list your ec, ph, temp, and everything you put into your solution. when i look at the pics i see white roots that appear to have a brown substance on them. first thing i'd do if my roots looked like that is take those net pots to the sink and rinse...

i have tried several different methods over the years and have settled on adding back ph''d water 2-3 times then changeout. once the ec has dropped approx 33% i change out the system. i feel like these frequent change outs help prevent root problems along with keeping the npk ratio intact.
