There is a reason for the design of distillation hardware. Research chemists have learned from their mistakes. The design is flawed as there are multiple points where you can build up pressure. I have seen the results of a pressurized hexane still exploding. Not much of the room was left.

Here is my latest The bottom is an Early Amnesia CBD oil and the upper one is a Dutch Treat CBD/Early Amnesia CBD blend. Both winterized. Winterizing does affect the terpenoids. Lower boiling terpenes boil off with the ethanol. I would not say the tepenes are destroyed though.

No pentane will behave near identical to butane. The biggest issue is that you will extract all the waxes with your cannabinoids. For my vape mixes I need to dewax or it destroys the atomizer.
