If this is the case that's the best option because I would have a investment made and a filter for when I get my tent . How effective is a stand alone carbon filter ? Used without ducting and air tight walls

I'm sorry but I didn't realize that carbon was just as effective used outside of a closed loop system and just throw in the grow space.
