Keeping a plant vegetating for months with low light?

I hear ya. Lots of people like ignoring good advice for what they "think" will work better by their own design. Or worse yet, people who blatantly ignore basics, like pH, and post endless threads about why their plants look like shit. All we can do is offer advice and hope someone comes along...

Keeping a plant vegetating for months with low light?

I don't consider getting a few CFLs an investment in some lights. Its a temporary solution.

Keeping a plant vegetating for months with low light?

Here's a thread of mine about keeping bonsai mums (small mothers). You might gather some useful information for from their as well. https://www.rollitup.org/t/bonsai-mums-help-needed.956893/#post-14012608

Keeping a plant vegetating for months with low light?

You can clone after clone after clone. Just grow one until you have 6 to 8 pairs of nodes, take a few cuttings, and root them. Once they've got some roots going, and they're starting to grow, toss the one you got the cuttings from. Once the little ones are getting a few sets of nodes, and are...

Keeping a plant vegetating for months with low light?

You can always take cuttings and grow clones under 23w 6500k CFLs. You can do this continually until you're ready.

    Exceedingly leafy plant any thoughts?

Not an experiment, as its already been done, proven, and documented. Trim in the second or third week of veg, depending on how many upper huge leaves are blocking everything below. Even tho those are on top, trim them away. Then, around the second week of flower, trim away the majority of big...

    Exceedingly leafy plant any thoughts?

Here, take a look at some notes and pics when I tried an indoor grow without trimming. The results were quite unspectacular. https://rollitup.org/t/which-would-produce-more-do-in-a-dwc.944432/page-49

    Exceedingly leafy plant any thoughts?

You'll benefit greatly by trimming away some of the huge leaves up top, blocking the light to the lowers. This generally applies to indoor grows, where usable light is limited. I did some comparisons last year, between trimming and not. The differences are very clear. In my grow thread (link...

    White pistils but milky/amber trichomes?

Don't feel bad. We've all had these problems when first learning to grow. You probably learn more during your first grow than in most books.

    White pistils but milky/amber trichomes?

Unfortunately, no. You shouldn't even try to remove parts of a bud that has rot, and smoke the rest. After getting some harvests under your belt, throwing out junk won't be a big deal. I toss everything that isn't top shelf quality when I harvest. But, I also grow more than I can consume, so...

    White pistils but milky/amber trichomes?

Be very careful at this point, because bud rot can spread to other buds while curing in jars. Smell the contents of the jars often, for signs of funky smelling bud rot. If you come across this situation, you have to find the rotting buds and toss them. Don't try to smoke bud with rot, it can...

    White pistils but milky/amber trichomes?

Quickly, and completely remove any bud showing rot, because it will spread to all buds around them. Chop them all down now. Next time use a dehumidifier, and keep a small fan blowing on the plants at night to help prevent condensation.

Hey guys new to the site! HERES MY GARDEN

If it took you that long to root your cuttings, you have something slowing the process. Next time, make sure your light is minimal. You should only be showing a couple thousand lumens. Too much light and the cutting will try to keep growing, which is not what you want. You want to produce...

Hey guys new to the site! HERES MY GARDEN

Next grow start off using much smaller containers, when the plants are little. Start off small, like a 4"x4" starter nursery pots, and move up after the roots have filled the space. Helps a lot with getting water to the plants' roots.

My vegetative not looking so good...

Do this...after you water properly, meaning you water until you get about 10% drainage from the bottom. Lift the cup up and remember how heavy it is. When the cup is very light, and you'll be able to tell, then its time to water. Use this method over watering on a schedule.

    White pistils but milky/amber trichomes?

Trics turn amber when they're past their ripeness, and have a sedating effect when consumed. Too many amber trics on your buds will cause couchlock. You want to use amber trics to determine when a large percentage of all the trics are at the tail end of being milky, meaning "ripe". Also...

    White pistils but milky/amber trichomes?

BTW, I've had a handful of grows where I waited and waited for the trics to turn amber, before finally giving up and harvesting.
