Well, I'm only buying little bits till my FIRST harvest comes in, then I'm done shelling out cash for weed. I'll smoke my whole harvest myself before spending any more on somebody else's stuff once I get started. :lol:

I have never heard it referred to as a bad thing. Most people try to keep their plants as compact as possible because that's how the buds stack up and get huge. This is what you get when you have zero stretch: She's got so much going on in there that there are leaves overlapping and shoving...

My guess is, they'll be okay...maybe not great till you get your issues worked out, but I'm betting they will survive. I've done absolutely everything possible wrong to my little Vanilla Kush and bless her heart, she just keeps hanging on. I bet your girls will too.

I don't have a lot of experience (read none), but it seems that adding an airstone to the res won't hurt. If you're inclined to do so, do it! It might help it might not, but it sure won't hurt. :-)

Rather than drill a hole in the bucket of my DWC, I chipped out a bit of the lid, right at the edge so the lid sit on the pot with a little missing chunk on one edge where the tube to the airpump goes thru. Kept me from having to put a hole in my bucket. If that's confusing, I'll grab a pic...

Good luck with your wife and son! That is so exciting. As for the plants, personally, I would probably flush them before leaving if possible. If that's not possible, maybe leave the pots sitting in a little water so they could wick it up if they needed or wanted it.

Sounds like they were looking for anything to evict her and the pot just worked out for them. Which should be a lesson to us all...if you're gonna grow, even legally, you need to make nice with the folks who live and work around you. I'd be really sketchy about growing in a subsidized apartment...

that's what I was thinking too...man, I could almost pay airfare and get a zip for $240 and STILL come out ahead. They're around $450 here.

Honestly, if it needs to happen, transplanting is never out of the question. Even Mr. Cervantes says so. I transplanted my Alice when she was 5 weeks into flower and she did fine...appreciated it, she did!
