    Homemade Water filter??

Bought one of those RO Britta systems for under the sink. Make sure you get one that produces a lot of water a day. Took all day to get 6 gallons. Beautiful water though with 0 dissolved solids and we live in Nevada!

    12 in" too bit SCROG?

The plants are bushy bushy indicia plants (not sure if they're female yet) about 12" tall. I am going to start flowering them tomorrow. Is it OK to setup a scrog on top of them after I sex them even know they've been in flower a few days? I've never done scrog but am going to build one...

Easiest way to chill multiple res

I have been having this problem with 4 7.5gal totes. I went to Walmart and bought a cooler. Went to the home goods area and bought a tray with legs that fits in the small cooler. I then bought a 140 gal air pump at pet smart that has 4 outlets. I bought 4 thick 10" air stones and the system...

Spyder air injection vs air stones: water tempature and oxygen

I met a hydro shop owner earlier today whose been growing 40 years -- all sorts of stuff he says. I asked him about water tempature and oxygen and told him I'd been looking into buying a chiller because my water temps are getting to 75+F and I wanted to avoid root rot/pythium He told me...

Picking a Sea of Green net

I like using Amazon for things. I'm a medical grower so no worry to hide things. Here is what I like so far. What do you recommend? My space is a 4x3 foot 7 ft tall tent. I have 4x 7.5 gal containers in a square under a 250 watt HPS hanging 15" above the plants right now. This my first DWC...

Nutrients needed for 55 gallon res

I bought fox farm liquid hydroponic big grow. It's the only thing I use. Plants, aside from bad pH and wrinkled leaves, are beautiful and growing fast. They're 2 and a quarter weeks old and are growing their 4th node.

PH levels KEEP RISING....how do i stop this?

I've been chasing my pH too. Plants are only a week old & 3 days and changed the res the first time 3 days ago. I've read that you shouldn't add much pH down. But my opinion you must keep it down in the 5.5 to 6.4 range (5.8 average) so you new plants can get the nutrients they need. The vast...

    Tips for Disinfecting Hydro

I bought the bigger bottle of hydrogen peroxide earlier today for a 10 gallon DWC tote. In the bath tub. I filled the tote up with water deep enough to cover the pump at the bottom of the tote. I kept the air stones in the bottom too. I poured 3/4 of the bottle in the tote with the water...

I checked out the skunk ferts. You still used calmag with them (what brand do you use? easier to mix it myself?) Should I still use calmag with fox ferts? What your getting at is the roots won't stay nice and white if I use organic products? I really need to keep it 100% organic for...
