Please help. Does everybody just leave their thermastat in the house below 70f and thats how the keep it cool?

What are the temps in your house or apartment for it to be at 68 F?

My temp during the summer in the house is set on 74 degrees. If I take it any lower in the summer my bill will shoot up even more. I know for hydro you need the temps to be 70 or below to keep root rot away. What is the best hydro system that can be used if my house temp is around 74-80 degrees...

I took the temp of water last night in my room and it was like 2 degrees below my house temp which was at 74 degrees, i do not see how people use the DWC with out lowering the thermastat on the house alot and raising the electric bill. Wish I would of considered res temp before i bought the DWC...

I would of just stuck with soil if I before I bought this DWC system if its going to be this much trouble to grow healthy plants.
