Uncle Ben's Gardening Tweeks and Pointers

Sounds like more of a cleanliness issue than an indoor vs. outdoor thing.

Uncle Ben's Gardening Tweeks and Pointers

Doing searches on google, I found this.. How about using chloraminated water on ornamental plants, vegetables or fruit and nut trees? Will beneficial soil bacteria be harmed? The small amount of chloramines should have no effect on plants of any type. Beneficial bacteria will generally be...

Got a dutch? GROWING AND GROWING AND.....

Yes, I do want to clone. I'm going to build a cab for vegging/flowering purposes, too much light leakage in the closet. Plan to get my PC case up and running just for rooting the clones since they don't need much light and heat should be easily controllable that way. I'm in the process of...

Sounds good. On the topic of organics, I've heard the chlorine/chloramine could play an ill effect, would you be willing to clear that up for me?

Uncle Ben's Gardening Tweeks and Pointers

Yea, it was about 15 bucks for the 5 pound bag (at my nursery). After reading back into my grow notes (finally found my notebook), I completely agree with you about the bloom foods. For example, the last Skunk I ran was fed with only the 5-5-5, probably could have used more but the majority of...

Got a dutch? GROWING AND GROWING AND.....

I'll wait til next round to take clones. At this point, just trying to let them keep what they have to finish off the last few weeks. I have done quite a bit of research concerning NPK values, as well as micros. So, I'm confident my next grow will be fucking awesome. This I am sure of. A lot of...

    my stupid fuckn dog!!! aaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

Repot in fresh soil, hope for the best. Should be fine though (unless the roots got mangled or something). I get your point, and it was fine that you said it. No reason for putting what you did in parenthesis though. Unless your aim was to be a dick?

Uncle Ben's Gardening Tweeks and Pointers

Is the discoloration (not green) of the stem on fan leaves and grow shoots normal? What is the cause/why is it happening? For example: What looked like black lines on grow shoots, and brownish/reddish stems on fan leaves.

Uncle Ben's Gardening Tweeks and Pointers

Could I still use the 5-5-5 all-purpose and then make an extra nitrogen addition? I'll get a picture of the analysis printed on the back of the package when the lights come on. That way you guys can maybe help me supplement what's missing, or in need of more.

Got a dutch? GROWING AND GROWING AND.....

Well, we're about 24-25 days into flowering, with hopes of only 4, maybe 5 weeks to go. No smell lingering beyond the buds so I took my index finger and thumb and gave the colas a slight, extremely light squeeze to get a better perspective and damn they smell good. The Skunk has a nice sweet...

Stop blaming "issues" on pH people! aka "ah cant take no mo'!

So, to sum things up: Fuck the pH of your water. Know your soil/fert pH before planting. And that's as far as I should go for the whole pH thing? You say a solid 1-1-1 is a good way to go, what about a 5-5-5? (happy frog all-purpose in my case) I followed jack harer's journal post about...

Is it a reliable pH level after this takes place?

Stop blaming "issues" on pH people! aka "ah cant take no mo'!

Well, they succeeded on complicating shit for me. I've been told don't worry about the pH of my water if my soil is proper (lime and what not). Would you agree? I'm making my way through your gardening tweaks thread so I apologize if I'm asking you to repeat something you've probably mentioned...

What about the removal of chloramine?

Stop blaming "issues" on pH people! aka "ah cant take no mo'!

Could someone explain to me what process is occurring when I let my water sit out for about 2 days, my pH level drops from the high of 8+ to between 6-7? It can't be just because the chlorine is evaporating, or is it?
