I bought some nice stackable totes for storing next rounds soil inside. Drilled holes in it for air. Because I reuse soil, I broke down the old root balls and got as much of the roots out as possible. Mixed in Espoma garden tone and wet it all down with compost tea. I'll let it cook for a...

    Compost tea, pros needed!

I've got that on my fabric pots too, and it hasn't hurt anything. I wouldn't worry. It's more on the bottom of my pots from run off.

I'd check Craigslist for local compost and ask them what it's made from. I found local worm compost that derived from cow manure, leaves, vegetable scraps...it's full of castings and some worms. I dunno if you need that bat shit. You're already well amended.

I guess what I meant was if it was composted or fresh. I've got access to free horse manure myself and plan to compost that with leaves, seaweed and vegetable scraps from the house. I love FREE.

The girls finally settled into their soil. They stalled for about a week after transplant but have grown a lot in the last few days. Humidity is LOW so I've been spraying the leaves with water every day. I just mulched with the coast of maine stuff but it'll be the last time as the stuff is...
