I'm keeping my HPS but I'd like more of a blue spectrum for veg growth for a couple weeks. The HPS does fine, but I'm sure something with a cooler spectrum grows them faster.

I have a HPS right now, and my cab is only 16"x12". I'd like to get something else for vegging just for a couple weeks. I found this LED panel that would fit perfectly. I think the MH would be slightly better but the LED panel would be much more convenient. Thoughts?

Don't know much about LEDs but I do know, the more light the better. May work with just one, may do wonders with two.

150w is just fine if you have the light close enough. 7-12 inches away. It can support a 3x3 sq foot space. Anywhere from 1 to 4 plants. More if you're doing SoG. 150w is what I'm rockin now. I don't know what everyone does with the heat of anything larger.

OR! you can go get yourself a $2.50 spray bottle, and every few hours or so, as often as you can, spray them and the whole environment with filtered water. Also place lots of tall cups of water on the ground. When humidity is increase, it takes more energy to increase the temperature of the air...

400w will certainly cause a heat problem. Especially since a freezer, even a stand up freezer, is such a small space. And if its a freezer that creates an air tight seal, the plants wont have any air to take in.

Topping it this late may stress the plant, but not necessarilycut down the yield. The tops are the biggest buds only because they're closest to the light. Once the tops are removed, the next teir of bud sights will get the light and produce accordingly. IMO at least. Anyone else concur?

For my soil grow I was thinking, how much would the plant like to have water added to it that has had an air stone running in the water for a half hour before adding. Maybe even cooler water as cold water holds more oxygen as well. Has anyone done this?

I don't know what it is. What should I do though! The soil is moist. Transplant to dry soil? I'm going to take it out of the 88+ heat tonight and put it next to some CFLs instead of the HPS. I cannot do anything about the heat. It ate up and dropped off all it's big leafs. Now the little ones...

I'm planning on my next grow being a DWC, but have one soil plant about a month into flower right now. Should I wait for it to finish or can I set up the DWC and stick it in there after rubbing the soil off it's roots.
